Install, configure, commission, and maintain microwave radios, LTE/GSM equipment, and other telecom infrastructure at tower and rooftop sites to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Perform Physical Acceptance Tests (PAT) and conduct thorough site quality inspections to evaluate newly installed equipment and infrastructure.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on telecom equipment to sustain network uptime and service quality at the highest levels.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and perform necessary repairs or replacements for malfunctioning radio, transmission, and power systems on tower and rooftop installations.
Support network optimization efforts by conducting drive tests, analyzing signal data, diagnosing faults, and implementing performance enhancement initiatives.
Responsibilities include the upkeep and operational support of electrical power systems, specifically rectifiers, batteries, diesel engine generators (DEG), power distribution systems, grounding infrastructure, and site electrical protection systems.
Oversee and evaluate on-site electrical systems to verify adherence to established electrical engineering codes and stringent safety protocols.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tower and rooftop infrastructure, ensuring rust treatment, verifying earthing quality, and conducting structural evaluations.
Perform site surveys, execute technical evaluations, and conduct feasibility analyses to determine the scope of network expansion and infrastructure enhancements.
Assist in the execution of network upgrades, modernization initiatives, and the rollout of new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
Compile maintenance reports, incident reports, acceptance documentation, and operational records with precision and punctuality.
Deliver ongoing oversight, technical guidance, mentorship, and task delegation to the assigned technician to uphold operational efficiency and adherence to established standards in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business administration. At least 3 years of experience in a related role, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
A degree or diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline is required.
Seeking candidates with at least two to three years of hands-on experience in telecom field operations, radio systems, or network maintenance.
Proficiency in installing, commissioning, and maintaining microwave radio systems and LTE/GSM equipment is essential, supported by practical expertise in these domains.
Professional vendors certifications will be beneficial.
A solid grasp of fundamental electrical engineering concepts, including AC/DC power systems, rectifiers, generators, batteries, grounding principles, and electrical safety protocols, is required.
Valid Fall Arrest Certification is required, ensuring it remains current with no less than one year remaining before expiration.
A valid certification or specialized training in RF Awareness, HSE protocols, and DISH regulations is mandatory.
Physically and medically capable of performing duties at elevated heights and in field environments.
