In this position, you will be expected to deploy promptly to global humanitarian crises—frequently within a 72-hour timeframe—to lead technical efforts and guarantee that gender equality, inclusion, and protection from gender-based violence remain integral components of our emergency interventions.
You will operate at the core of crisis response efforts, collaborating with country teams to implement high-quality, gender-transformative programs tailored to the needs of girls, young people, and vulnerable populations.

Lead and enhance gender-based violence (GBV) initiatives, with a focus on supporting child and adolescent survivors, while fostering programmatic excellence and resilience.
Promote the integration of gender considerations throughout all humanitarian initiatives to ensure equitable and inclusive outcomes.
Offer specialized advice in accordance with internationally recognized frameworks, including the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IAS) guidelines, the Gender-Based Violence Minimum Standards, the Sphere Humanitarian Charter, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) principles.
Conduct in-depth analysis and lead emergency response initiatives to mitigate risks and ensure operational resilience. Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to address critical incidents, conducting thorough assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute rapid response protocols, ensuring timely and effective resolution of emergencies. Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and response actions for compliance and continuous improvement.
Perform Rapid Gender Analysis (RGA) in urgent emergency contexts to assess gender dynamics and needs.
Your expertise will support the development of comprehensive needs assessments spanning diverse sectors. You will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify critical gaps and priorities across multiple domains. Collaboration with stakeholders will be essential to ensure assessments are thorough, accurate, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership concerning the development and implementation of programs that are informed by and responsive to gender considerations.
