Install, configure, commission, and maintain microwave radios, LTE/GSM equipment, and additional telecom infrastructure components at both tower and rooftop sites.
Perform Physical Acceptance Tests (PAT) and conduct thorough quality inspections of newly installed equipment and infrastructure at designated sites.
Execute preventative and remedial maintenance on telecom equipment to sustain optimal network availability and service reliability.
Perform diagnostics and replace malfunctioning radio, transmission, and power equipment in tower and rooftop installations as needed.
Support network optimization efforts by conducting drive tests, analyzing signal data, diagnosing faults, and implementing initiatives to enhance performance.
Responsible for the upkeep and technical assistance of electrical power infrastructure, encompassing rectifiers, battery units, diesel engine generators (DEG), power distribution networks, grounding systems, and site electrical protection mechanisms.
Conduct thorough examinations of site electrical installations to verify adherence to electrical engineering standards and safety protocols.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on tower and rooftop infrastructure, ensuring tasks such as rust treatment, earthing quality verification, and structural assessments are completed to standard.
Perform comprehensive site surveys, technical evaluations, and feasibility analyses to assess requirements for network expansion and infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities include facilitating the execution of network upgrades, modernization initiatives, and the introduction of emerging technologies.
Compile maintenance reports, incident documentation, acceptance records, and operational logs with precision and adherence to deadlines.
Offer ongoing oversight, technical guidance, mentoring, and task delegation to the assigned technician to uphold operational efficiency and adherence to established standards in the field.
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following essential qualifications, skills, and competencies:
A diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required.
Requires a minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience within telecom field operations, radio systems, or network maintenance.
Requires expertise in installing, commissioning, and maintaining microwave radio systems and LTE/GSM equipment, both theoretically and practically.
Vendor certifications in relevant fields will be considered an additional asset.
A foundational knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including AC and DC power systems, rectifiers, generators, batteries, grounding techniques, and electrical safety protocols, is required.
A valid Fall Arrest Certification is required, with a minimum of one year remaining before its expiration date.
Acquires certification or training in RF Awareness, HSE protocols, and DISH regulations.
Physically and medically capable of performing duties at elevated heights and during field assignments, with a commitment to maintaining peak fitness standards throughout operational tasks.
