The ideal candidate will oversee the pastry and bakery operations, delivering premium baked goods and introducing creative, novel dessert concepts. Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of essential duties and functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards while fostering operational excellence. Oversee the preparation and production of an extensive range of pastries, cakes, cookies, desserts, and artisan breads, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and adherence to established recipes and standards.

Craft innovative and aesthetically pleasing dessert menus, ensuring each offering aligns with the establishment’s evolving themes and trends.

Ensure all bakery products consistently meet high standards for quality, flavor, and visual appeal.

Monitor kitchen expenditures, reduce unnecessary waste, and oversee the pastry department’s budget with precision to ensure financial efficiency and resource optimization.

Guarantee the accurate organization, secure management, and meticulous tracking of all ingredients and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and compliance with safety standards.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and assistance to junior pastry staff to ensure seamless daily operations.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure the procurement of baking ingredients and materials occurs punctually.

Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, hygiene regulations, and HACCP compliance requirements throughout the pastry department.

Perform systematic assessments of ingredients, equipment, and baking tools to verify compliance with established quality standards.

Introduce innovative pastries and desserts to enhance the menu’s variety and appeal.

Provide assistance with recruiting and integrating new pastry team members into the team as needed.

Execute any supplementary responsibilities as outlined within the parameters of the position.

Seeking an experienced professional to fulfill this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is a strong understanding of established methodologies and best practices. Holders of a valid Food Handler’s Certificate are eligible to apply for this position.
