GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES NEEDED

Understanding of Youth Changers Kenya

Demonstrated professional, executive, or leadership experience and accomplishments in fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and finance.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more key functional areas: fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and business development in the development sectors.

Demonstrated creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to actively listen, consider diverse perspectives, ask relevant questions to foster mutual understanding, and synthesize information to build consensus.

Personal qualities should include integrity, credibility, and a demonstrated

passion for enhancing the professionalism and capacity of Youth Changers

Kenya’s beneficiaries and partners.

Fluency in English and strong communication skills are required.

Board of Directors experience is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Setting Fundraising Strategy: Work with the Team Leader to establish and guide the organization’s overall fundraising vision and goals.

Governance Oversight: Ensure fundraising activities comply with legal, ethical, and best-practice standards.

Resource Leveraging: Leverage personal and professional networks to open doors and identify fundraising opportunities.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Regularly review fundraising progress and

outcomes, holding the executive director and staff accountable for targets.

Financial Stewardship: Oversee the allocation and use of raised funds to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Board Participation: Actively participate in board meetings, fundraising committees, and relevant organizational discussions.
