A voter educator must reside within the Constituency where the by-election is scheduled.

Fluency in the primary language spoken by the residents of the electoral unit is required.

You must hold a diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Social Sciences or Project Management, or an equivalent credential.

With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in voter education, community mobilization, or social work within a relevant by-election electoral unit,

Candidates must demonstrate prior experience in implementing voter education initiatives or conducting informal training sessions in partnership with established social networks within the electoral unit.

Demonstrates a strong dedication to upholding the principles of patriotism, nation-building, effective governance, democratic values, human rights, and gender equality.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in project management, preferably within the construction industry. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, along with relevant certifications like PMP or LEED. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are mandatory for collaborating with stakeholders and addressing on-site challenges. Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management is also required to ensure project success.

Voter Educators are responsible for disseminating accurate and comprehensive information about electoral processes, voting procedures, and civic engagement opportunities to the public. They conduct outreach initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and community events, to enhance voter participation and awareness. Additionally, they collaborate with local organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions to develop and distribute educational materials. Voter Educators also address inquiries from constituents, ensuring clarity on voter registration, identification requirements, and polling locations. Their role involves assessing community needs, tailoring programs to diverse audiences, and measuring the effectiveness of outreach efforts to improve civic literacy.

Reporting directly to the Constituency Returning Officer, the Voter Educator will be tasked with executing key responsibilities to enhance electoral awareness and participation. Among these duties, the role involves conducting comprehensive voter education initiatives, disseminating accurate information about electoral processes, and ensuring citizens are fully informed about their rights and responsibilities in the voting system. The position requires a strong commitment to fostering democratic engagement, collaborating with local stakeholders, and addressing voter concerns with professionalism and impartiality. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of electoral regulations, and the ability to engage diverse communities effectively.

Obtain, disseminate, and circulate voter education, informational, communication, and publicity materials as directed.

Establish and nurture partnerships with state and non-state entities, including media agencies, Civil Society Organizations, Community-Based Organizations, Religious Organizations, governmental ministries, and key opinion shapers or influencers.

Public benefit organizations that serve marginalized populations—including women, youth, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and ethnic minorities—must be identified and actively engaged.

Convey voter education initiatives via in-person engagements, as well as through mainstream and social media channels.

Serve as the designated representative for the Relationship Owner during partner-organized forums and meetings.

Public concerns are to be acknowledged and addressed promptly and professionally.

Support the Returning Officer (RO) in organizing and facilitating briefing sessions for accredited voter education providers, election observers, and media practitioners.

Handle and resolve public election-related inquiries through consolidation of concerns and timely responses.

Compile reports on voter education initiatives, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and communications for review by the RO.

Upon finalizing the voter education initiative, prepare and submit a Constituency-based report to the Relevant Officer.

Duties may also include completing additional tasks as directed by the Reporting Officer.

Compensation will be provided at a competitive rate commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Remuneration packages include a base salary along with potential performance-based incentives. Constituency Voter Educators will receive a daily remuneration of KSS. 2,000.
