Position Overview
We are hiring a Senior QA Engineer to join the technology team of a global biotechnology company. In this role, you will drive and elevate the quality assurance process for a high-impact software platform, from defining test requirements and building automation frameworks to mentoring junior QA engineers and signing off on releases. Responsibilities
Conduct manual and automated testing across the product, identifying defects and verifying software meets defined acceptance criteria.
Continue to develop and extend the existing automation suite, embedding it more deeply into the development process.
Design and build new testing frameworks where necessary to improve test coverage, reliability, and speed.
Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from defining test requirements at the start of a project to signing off on releases for quality.
Track and manage test issues, working closely with engineers and product teams to resolve them efficiently.
Write and review concise test documentation, and revise older test cases to achieve greater testing coverage.
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices across the team.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product, and other stakeholders within an agile development environment.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining test frameworks and test cases.
Strong programming experience in Python.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and test frameworks such as Pytest.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, QC) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Ability to work effectively in agile or Scrum-based teams, both independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English, and a meticulous, quality-driven mindset.
Nice to have:
Any previous experience or study related to bioinformatics
Experience managing QA projects end-to-end.
Experience mentoring or leading junior QA engineers.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into the build process.
