Position Summary

The Field Merchandising Representative (FMR) will report to the Team Leader – Merchandising and will be tasked with executing merchandising initiatives, optimizing shelf presentation, ensuring product availability, overseeing returns compliance, and collecting market intelligence across designated retail locations. Serving as the primary operational liaison for the company within the trade landscape, the FMR will uphold brand standards and drive key performance metrics in-store.

Responsible for overseeing stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining efficient rotation practices to minimize waste and obsolescence. Tracks incoming and outgoing stock, conducts regular audits, and reconciles discrepancies to uphold data integrity. Implements inventory control measures, including FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) methodologies, as per company guidelines. Collaborates with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stock outs or overstock situations. Analyzes inventory turnover rates and reports on stock performance to support strategic decision-making. Maintains compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in all stock handling procedures.

Diligently track inventory levels and immediately escalate any instances of insufficient stock to ensure timely replenishment and prevent operational disruptions.

Strict adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) stock rotation protocols must be maintained at all times.

Proactively assess inventory with approaching expiry dates and promptly escalate any concerns through established communication channels.

Remove any stock that is damaged or past its expiration date from the shelves, following established company protocols.

Manage stock levels at retail outlets by analyzing and leveraging movement trends to optimize inventory holdings.

Manages the oversight and administration of returns processes while ensuring compliance with established governance frameworks and internal policies.

Ensure precise documentation and verification of all returned outlets.

Verify that all Goods Return Notes (GRNs) are accurately prepared, including comprehensive supporting documentation.

Physically inspect all returns to ensure accuracy prior to collection.

Promptly report any returns that appear suspicious or lack clear explanation to the appropriate supervisor or designated personnel for immediate review and resolution.

Ensure accurate reconciliation and maintain accountability throughout returns management processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in relationship management, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and client satisfaction. We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by a minimum of three years of progressive experience in a comparable role. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, is required. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is highly desirable.

GCSE Certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this position.

A degree, diploma, or certification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly beneficial.
