The DREAM Finance and Grants Assistant, Pan-Africa will assist with the financial operations and compliance of regional projects. Responsibilities include processing payments, monitoring expenditures, and managing grant documentation to support RIO Administration and Management. Additionally, the role involves maintaining precise financial records, compiling grant and finance summaries, tracking RIO budgets, and ensuring adherence to both donor and organizational policies.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive set of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance across all departments. Collaborate closely with senior management to align business objectives with actionable initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry benchmarks. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among team members. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress toward goals, identify areas for optimization, and implement data-driven solutions to mitigate risks and maximize operational effectiveness. Additionally, act as a liaison between departments to streamline communication, resolve conflicts, and promote cross-functional collaboration in pursuit of shared organizational objectives.

RIO Management and Administration involves overseeing and maintaining efficient operational processes, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and managing administrative tasks to support organizational goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently. Key duties include coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing and maintaining accurate records, and facilitating smooth workflows. The position demands proficiency in relevant software tools, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Assist with the preparation and processing of RIO proposals, budgets, and agreements.

Assist in overseeing and verifying RIO financial deliverables to ensure adherence to the guidelines and standards set by the Mastercard Foundation and WUSS.

Assist in compiling and finalizing internal reports related to RIO activities.

Act as the primary liaison for Requesting Organizations (Los), addressing all inquiries related to application submissions during Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Grants and Finance Hard and Soft Copy Record Management entails the systematic organization, storage, and retrieval of financial and grant-related documents, both in physical and digital formats, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational efficiency.

Develop and oversee a cohesive records management system that consolidates both physical and digital documents, ensuring uniformity through standardized naming conventions, stringent access controls, and reliable data backup protocols to maintain complete transparency and audit readiness.

Provides financial oversight and accountability by monitoring expenditures, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget, and preparing detailed financial reports. Tracks departmental spending, identifies variances, and collaborates with stakeholders to address discrepancies and optimize resource allocation. Maintains accurate financial records, verifies compliance with fiscal policies, and supports strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Requires proficiency in financial software, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Assists in monitoring budget allocations, verifying financial expenditures, and detecting inconsistencies within RIO reports.

Support the preparation of project budgets, financial contributions for proposals, and budget modifications as required.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, with particular expertise in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas, as well as experience with computerized accounting software.
