Support product launches throughout East Africa by collaborating with Head Office Marketing and regional teams. Assist in executing brand strategies, creating promotional materials, and tracking brand performance to ensure adherence to business objectives and regulatory standards.
Execute marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives aimed at healthcare professionals, institutions, and trade partners. Track campaign performance, gather market feedback, and deliver insights to drive ongoing enhancements.
Coordinate with external partners, including vendors, agencies, and suppliers, to ensure marketing materials are produced and delivered promptly. Oversee cost management, maintain adherence to documentation requirements, and uphold quality standards throughout all marketing initiatives.
Market research and competitive intelligence responsibilities include conducting comprehensive market research and systematically tracking competitor activities, pricing fluctuations, and emerging market trends. The role involves producing insightful, actionable reports that inform brand strategy, guide commercial planning efforts, and drive sustainable business growth.
Business analytics involves crafting and updating management reports, dashboards, and performance analyses that cover sales performance, marketing campaigns, tender evaluations, and market trends. The role demands delivering precise and prompt reporting facilitating informed business decisions.
Provide support to tender and public institutions by facilitating their participation in tenders and institutional business opportunities. This involves coordinating documentation, managing timelines, and integrating cross-functional inputs. Additionally, maintain meticulous tender records, assist in the preparation of submissions, product dossiers, and institutional presentations.
Leverage cross-functional collaboration by partnering with sales, regulatory, supply chain, finance, distributors, and Head Office Marketing to advance critical business initiatives. Deliver actionable market insights, facilitate training programs, and guarantee the effective execution of marketing and commercial objectives.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, complemented by a degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional qualifications. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in key technical skills and possess strong analytical abilities to effectively solve complex problems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required to convey ideas clearly and collaborate efficiently within a team environment. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles would be advantageous but not mandatory.
An MBA or equivalent management qualification is highly desirable.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a closely related field is required.
A minimum of five years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, communications, brand coordination, or commercial support is required.
Proficiency in pharmaceutical launches, promotional initiatives, institutional business operations, or tender support experience will be considered advantageous.
Proven track record engaging with pharmaceutical markets across East Africa.
