POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon ensures adherence to CURE’s quality standards while delivering direct surgical care to patients. Additionally, this role involves instructing and mentoring physicians in training on the core principles and methodologies of plastic and reconstructive surgical practice and supervising their surgical execution. The position is further tasked with enhancing the department’s overall quality of care, educational initiatives, and administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with established protocols. Overseeing precise record-keeping and documentation is required, along with managing team performance to meet organizational goals. Ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory standards is mandatory, and participating in strategic planning initiatives is essential. Collaborating with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and enhance productivity is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, implementing and monitoring quality control measures to maintain high standards is a critical responsibility.
Prepare case histories and review them thoroughly, gathering essential data by assessing patients and consulting with their family members to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess the necessity for clinical laboratory tests, then analyze examination results and laboratory findings to derive accurate interpretations.
Appropriate plastic and reconstructive surgical treatments are prescribed based on clinical findings and patient outcomes.
Determine protocols for preoperative and postoperative care, encompassing the administration of sedatives, the formulation of dietary plans, and the preparation of the patient’s operative field.
Perform surgical procedures and collaborate with the anesthesiologist to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
Provide care for individuals experiencing surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhage, and other related complications.
Oversee and coordinate operating room personnel in executing preoperative and postoperative care protocols, as well as operating room procedures and techniques.
Provide instruction to resident plastic and reconstructive surgeons on plastic and reconstructive surgical techniques and methodologies.
Compiling essential patient data with precision is required.
Maintain patient safety throughout consultations, surgical procedures, and the postoperative recovery phase.
Provide support to the Medical Director in sustaining a precise and sufficient inventory of medications and supplies.
Perform various additional responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives and ensure organizational efficiency.

Education and experience qualifications include:
A medical degree (MD or DO) earned from an accredited, reputable medical institution is required.
Preferred qualification includes board certification or board eligibility.
A valid and unrestricted medical license is required.
With a minimum of two years of professional experience in either a private practice or hospital setting, candidates should possess a solid background in clinical or administrative duties.
Demonstrated expertise in the field of plastic surgery specifically focused on pediatric patients is required.
Preferred candidates will have relevant experience in developing countries.
Demonstrated expertise in relevant technical, analytical, and interpersonal competencies is essential. Candidates must exhibit proficiency in specialized tools, methodologies, and processes pertinent to the role. Strong problem-solving capabilities, adaptability to evolving challenges, and effective communication skills are required. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally, manage priorities efficiently, and maintain a results-driven mindset is critical. Prior experience in similar environments or industries is preferred, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, best practices, and emerging trends is advantageous.
Fluency in English is highly desirable, though moderate proficiency may suffice.
