The Medical Officer will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients, engage actively in collaborative patient management, assist with educational and training initiatives, and advance the hospital’s commitment to providing outstanding, sustainable, and holistic healthcare services.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical tasks to ensure operational excellence, including the management of daily workflows, coordination of team efforts, and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Drive efficiency by implementing streamlined processes, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to align goals, foster innovation, and address challenges proactively. Additionally, oversee budget adherence, resource allocation, and compliance with established policies to uphold accountability and drive sustainable growth.

Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for patients across diverse healthcare environments, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and specialized care facilities. Additionally, manage ongoing patient care to ensure optimal health outcomes in each setting.

Formulate and execute suitable treatment strategies aligned with recognized clinical protocols and evidence-based best practices.

Execute medical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice and professional competence.

Engage actively in ward rounds, clinical audits, mortality and morbidity reviews, as well as quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure patient records and clinical documentation are maintained with precision and timeliness.

Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient management outcomes.

Deliver comprehensive health education sessions and personalized counseling to patients and their families to support informed decision-making and promote wellness.

Engage in assigned emergency call responsibilities, outreach initiatives, and community health programs as directed.

Support the training and mentorship of medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees.

Drive advancements in research, innovation, and evidence-based clinical practice through active participation and contributions.

Maintain strict adherence to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards that govern medical practice.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Licensed and officially registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

A current and active professional license is required to practice in the relevant field.

Professional internship training must be successfully fulfilled to qualify for consideration.

A minimum of one year of post-internship clinical practice will be highly beneficial.

Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications is highly desirable.
