Our client, a prominent telecommunications company, is seeking to employ a Trade Development Representative.

Job purpose

To concentrate on conducting channel visits aimed at enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Lead initiatives to optimize team performance through mentorship, training, and clear performance metrics. Conduct thorough research and data analysis to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization. Ensure seamless communication with stakeholders to align business goals with actionable outcomes. Monitor progress, assess risks, and implement corrective measures as needed to sustain long-term success.

Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, with a primary focus on engaging mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Regularly conduct visits to SOS and agents in accordance with predefined route plans (beat plans) to ensure consistent call rates.

Provide essential transaction tools at SSO and agent outlets, ensuring all necessary resources are readily available. Additionally, conduct comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to familiarize them with the operational processes.

Refine agents’ expertise in anti-money laundering (AML) protocols while ensuring their proficiency in Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures tied to SIM REG regulations, delivering structured training and practical testing sessions.

Float and stock management responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support seamless operations. You will diligently monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents while ensuring Stock Supervisors (SOS) maintain sufficient SIM card inventory for new registrations and activations.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.
