We are seeking a highly skilled Red Seal-certified Plumbing Specialist to join our team on a significant high-rise accommodation project in Nairobi, Kenya. The position requires expertise in the installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of various plumbing systems, including domestic water, drainage, firefighting, irrigation, swimming pool, and specialized systems.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Lead key initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and drive operational excellence through strategic planning and data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize workflows and resource allocation. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.
Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) drawings to extract critical design details, specifications, and construction requirements. Interpret technical diagrams, annotations, and schematics to ensure accurate understanding of project plans and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Install hot and cold water supply systems, along with drainage, soil, waste, and vent systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with plumbing standards.
Professional Installation of sanitary fixtures, pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and booster systems is required. This role involves the precise setup and integration of these essential components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with established standards.
Perform underground drainage installation and execute specialized plumbing projects with precision and expertise.
Professional Rewriting:
Responsibilities include the installation and configuration of irrigation systems, wet risers, sprinkler networks, jacuzzi units, and pool piping infrastructure.
Perform pressure testing, drainage assessments, and system commissioning to verify operational integrity and functionality.
Ensure adherence to British Standards, local regulatory requirements, and OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
Certified plumbers holding a Red Seal endorsement demonstrate comprehensive expertise in the plumbing trade, having met nationally recognized standards through rigorous examination. This credential validates proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems. With a minimum of five years of hands-on involvement in high-rise or commercial construction projects, you will bring proven expertise to our team. Proficient in the coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, with specialized expertise in plumbing system design, installation, and maintenance. Proficiency in firefighting operations and familiarity with specialized water systems are advantageous.
