Our client, a prominent telecommunications provider, is seeking to appoint an Activation Team Lead to oversee daily operations and ensure seamless service activation processes.

Reports directly to the Area Sales Manager, ensuring alignment with regional sales objectives and receiving guidance on performance targets. This position involves regular communication with the Area Sales Manager to discuss sales strategies, address challenges, and track progress toward KPIs. Collaboration with the Area Sales Manager is essential for optimizing territory management and executing sales initiatives effectively.

The primary objective of this position is to oversee and execute key operational tasks that align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role entails managing daily activities, ensuring compliance with established policies, and fostering a productive work environment. To enhance retailer engagement and improve SIM and Float performance, the role involves conducting channel visits, with a strong emphasis on optimizing visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties to ensure operational excellence, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Conduct thorough evaluations of performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute innovative solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency. Maintain rigorous adherence to compliance standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping – Responsible for identifying and recruiting Agents strategically, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Regularly conduct visits to SOS and agents in accordance with established route plans (beat plans) to maintain coverage and engagement.

Provide essential business tools necessary for seamless transactions across SSO and agent outlets while conducting thorough training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents on operational processes.

Deliver comprehensive training to agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and ensure they are well-versed in the Know Your Customer (KYC) process as it pertains to the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.

Float and stock management responsibilities include monitoring and diligently enforcing the 1.5x stock rule for agents, while simultaneously ensuring sales support officers (SOS) maintain sufficient stock of SIM cards for seamless new registrations and activations.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of promotional materials at SSO and Agent locations.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience.
