Job Purpose

The Assistant Valves Technician collaborates with the Valves Technician to oversee the complete valve rehabilitation process in the workshop setting. This role facilitates receipt, inspection, disassembly, cleaning, repair, testing, and documentation of valves while ensuring full traceability and strict adherence to established quality standards. By supporting technical operations, maintaining precise records, and enforcing safety and operational protocols, the Assistant enhances workflow efficiency and operational compliance.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing the management and optimization of [specific function, e.g., “project timelines, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder communication”], while ensuring adherence to organizational standards and strategic objectives. Conduct thorough analyses to identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions to enhance performance and productivity. Additionally, monitor progress through established KPIs, providing actionable insights and reports to leadership to inform decision-making. Perform workshop intake and valve receipt procedures with precision.

Assist with the receipt of valves, ensuring each item is tagged and logged in accordance with corresponding job cards or work orders. Provide support during the initial visual inspection and documentation of valve conditions.

Valve Rehabilitation & Repair Support professionals provide specialized assistance in restoring and maintaining critical valve systems across industrial facilities. They conduct thorough assessments to identify wear, corrosion, or mechanical issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities include executing precision repairs, replacing damaged components, and conducting rigorous testing to validate functionality. Familiarity with industry standards, such as ASHE and API regulations, is essential for compliance and operational excellence. Candidates must possess hands-on experience in valve repair techniques, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments. Proficiency in reading technical schematics and adherence to strict safety protocols are also required.

Provide assistance in dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling valves such as gate, globe, ball, butterfly, and check valves. Help perform fundamental repairs, including lapping and replacing packing, while under supervision.
