This entry-level professional accounting role involves applying accounting principles to specialized records and reports while supporting the daily maintenance of a comprehensive and accurate general ledger and generating basic financial reports.

Responsibilities

Compiling journal entries and performing necessary adjustments constitutes a key responsibility, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This involves recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and making corrective entries to align with accounting standards and organizational policies. Attention to detail and adherence to established procedures are essential to maintain compliance and support informed decision-making.

Initiating general ledger file maintenance involves conducting account reconciliations and reviews, as well as addressing and clearing outstanding ledger items.

Review expenditures to ensure alignment with the allocated budget, perform required reconciliations, conduct thorough investigations into discrepancies, and process correcting entries as needed.

Responsibilities include collaborating on the development of diverse financial projections and detailed expense documentation.

The incumbent is responsible for verifying project accounts to ensure adherence to established policies, communicating with relevant stakeholders regarding project statuses.

Assisting in the development and guidance of priesthood leaders alongside other junior accounting professionals is a key responsibility.
