THE OPPORTUNITY
The Corporate Affairs Coordinator plays a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining the organization’s external relationships, engaging key stakeholders, and upholding its social license to operate, with a dedicated operational emphasis on the Nairobi Plant.
This position serves as the primary daily liaison between the organization and local stakeholders, overseeing that engagements with communities, authorities, regulatory bodies, and partners are well-structured, clearly documented, responsive, and fully aligned with the Group’s corporate affairs and sustainability strategy.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the organization of stakeholder engagements, such as meetings, consultations, and outreach initiatives, by developing agendas, preparing briefing materials, and compiling follow-up documentation.
Monitor stakeholder issues, feedback, and concerns, then escalate relevant insights to the Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Director to inform strategic action and response planning.
Public Affairs & Regulatory Support professionals provide strategic guidance and operational assistance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering effective communication with stakeholders. They monitor evolving regulations, interpret their implications, and develop policies to align organizational practices with legal requirements. Additionally, they coordinate with government agencies, industry groups, and internal teams to address compliance challenges and mitigate risks. Their responsibilities may also include preparing submissions, managing public inquiries, and maintaining transparent reporting upholding the organization’s reputation and operational integrity.
Monitor policy and regulatory changes, as well as government relations initiatives, to identify potential impacts on the company’s operations.
Collaborate with public institutions, as required, to advance corporate interests and resolve stakeholder issues through advocacy or engagement initiatives.
Assist in drafting concise briefing notes, compiling research summaries, and creating stakeholder engagement reports for senior leadership.
The Corporate Affairs position at the plant level involves overseeing and implementing strategic initiatives to manage the company’s reputation, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
