As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, you will operate at the core of rig operations, providing essential support for tubular running activities critical to well construction. Your responsibilities will include the operation of mechanical and hydraulic TRS equipment, as well as assisting with rig up and rig down procedures and ensuring the safe handling of casing, tubing, and associated tools.
As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, your responsibilities will involve executing a variety of tasks to support drilling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to established protocols. You will assist in the preparation, maintenance, and operation of drilling equipment, contributing to the smooth functioning of field activities. Collaborating with the team, you will monitor equipment performance, report any irregularities, and participate in routine inspections. Additionally, you will follow all safety guidelines, utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), and assist in emergency response procedures when necessary. Your role will require physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, outdoor environment. Compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and operational directives will be essential to your performance in this position.
Operating TRS equipment—including power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units—in a manner that prioritizes safety and maintains professional standards.
Facilitates the assembly and disassembly of TRS equipment by supporting the setup and breakdown of stabbing boards, power units, and tubular handling tools.
To facilitate seamless and secure operations, engage in clear and consistent communication with the drill floor operator, clients, and subcontracted personnel.
Conducting routine troubleshooting, inspections, and minor maintenance tasks on TRS equipment both prior to and following operational activities, as well as during operation.
Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols, participating in rig safety meetings, and promptly reporting any hazards or operational concerns are essential responsibilities.
Responsibilities include preparing and submitting job documentation, compiling activity reports, and assisting with operational duties as directed by the Operations Coordinator.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate proficiency in the following key responsibilities and qualifications.
Demonstrated familiarity with the oil and gas sector is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing TRS or drilling-related field experience.
Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the safe and accurate operation of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
Capable of collaborating seamlessly with rig crews, supervisors, and clients, even under intense pressure, while maintaining clear and professional communication throughout all interactions.
Candidates should possess either an associate degree in a technical field, achieved over two years of study, or an equivalent blend of formal technical education and hands-on experience in the field.
Possess robust problem-solving capabilities and adhere rigorously to established procedures while inspecting equipment and ensuring operational readiness.
Capable of accommodating travel requirements for both onshore and offshore projects while maintaining flexibility to adhere to fluctuating schedules, including on-call duties and shift-based operations.
