Overview:

The Associate Manager, Production will oversee the execution of production plans and programs, while monitoring quality processes to guarantee optimal that aligns with market demand and organizational goals.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, managing a team of professionals to meet organizational goals, and implementing strategies to enhance performance and streamline processes. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional departments to align projects with company objectives, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The position also requires maintaining accurate records, preparing reports for stakeholders, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes innovation and teamwork.

Direct the production planning process to optimize the allocation and utilization of plant resources while ensuring the attainment of established production targets.

Annual, monthly, and weekly resource planning for the factory is conducted in alignment with sales forecasts, encompassing labor, plant, and equipment requirements.

Oversee and enhance production workflows to consistently meet all established production objectives.

Implementing other appropriate production strategies, plans and control systems.

Effectively managing the utilization of machinery, materials, and personnel to maximize cost efficiency is essential.

Maintaining the required Safety, Health and Environmental standards in the factory in line with organisational SHE standards, ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), ISO 14001 – Environment Management System (EMS) requirements, and local legislation.

Ensuring adherence to the established Quality standards within the factory environment, in alignment with the organization’s Quality standards, ISO 9001 – Quality Management System (QMS) prerequisites, and relevant local regulatory requirements.

Skilled in motivating, guiding, and empowering production team leaders while overseeing their professional growth and performance.

Revise critical performance indicators for weekly, monthly, and quarterly metric evaluations and deliver findings to the site leadership team for review.

Serves as a key point of contact and collaborates closely with Engineering, Purchasing and Planning, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, HR, and other relevant departments to align efforts and achieve established departmental goals.

As part of cost reduction initiatives, the role involves establishing and achieving discretionary objectives through medium-term subprojects, as mutually agreed upon with the Plant Manager.

Facilitating ongoing enhancements to production operations drives operational excellence and sustained efficiency gains.

You’ll bring a proven track record of relevant professional experience, including hands-on expertise in key responsibilities and a deep understanding of the outlined requirements. Your background will demonstrate a strong alignment with the position’s demands, showcasing both technical proficiency and soft skills necessary for success. Additionally, you’ll have a history of delivering measurable results in similar roles, ensuring you can transition seamlessly into the team and contribute from day one.

Obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited academic institution.

Seeking candidates with at least five years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
