Maintain, upgrade, and repair air conditioning systems and related ventilation controls to ensure the highest standards of indoor air quality and thermal comfort.
Develop, refine, and execute preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems to enhance reliability and minimize operational disruptions.
Responsible for verifying and inspecting HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs conducted by third-party contractors or service providers, ensuring adherence to established quality, safety, and performance benchmarks.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation pertaining to all HVAC operations, encompassing maintenance schedules, service reports, and technical schematics.
Guarantee precise calibration and tailored configuration of HVAC controls and automation systems to enhance energy efficiency and maintain consistent operational performance.
Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the handling of refrigerants, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Deliver specialized technical guidance and recommendations to management and maintenance staff regarding HVAC systems and their respective enhancements.
Perform any other duties deemed reasonable and relevant by the line manager as required.
The requirements
Qualifications for the position include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. Candidates must possess at least three years of professional experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record in project management, stakeholder communication, and process optimization. Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preferred qualifications include prior leadership experience, familiarity with agile methodologies, and a certification in project management, such as PMP or CAP.
A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), is mandatory for this position.
Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or an equivalent technical qualification from a reputable institution is required.
With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience, proficiency in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair must be demonstrated in institutional, industrial, or commercial settings.
