Girls Not Brides is in search of a seasoned Head of Impact and Strategy Performance to spearhead the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) and impact functions. In this leadership role within the Learning, Evidence and Impact Directorate, you will provide strategic direction to the Impact team while collaborating closely with the Director to refine the organization’s vision for monitoring strategy performance against our results framework and impact measurement. Your responsibilities will include ensuring Girls Not Brides has robust systems, tools, evidence, data, and compelling narratives to effectively demonstrate progress against our strategy.

In this position, you will spearhead the development and implementation of MEAL systems and strategic planning frameworks, fostering cross-functional collaboration to guarantee our initiatives are impactful, strategically aligned, and results-driven. Your responsibilities will include overseeing monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes, as well as reporting structures, to ensure transparency, accountability, and data-informed decision-making. Additionally, you will enhance our organizational MEAL and performance frameworks, ensuring the generation and dissemination of high-quality, evidence-based insights that effectively demonstrate our impact to key stakeholders.

About you

As a seasoned leader in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), strategy performance, and impact, you possess a proven track record in developing organizational impact strategies, crafting intricate measurement frameworks, and leading teams to generate robust evidence of results. You adeptly transform data into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions while cultivating a culture rooted in accountability, continuous learning, and adaptability.

We seek a highly skilled Contract Manager to oversee and administer contractual agreements throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience, with a proven ability to negotiate terms, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts, managing vendor relationships, and resolving disputes while maintaining alignment with business objectives. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in contract management software and an understanding of applicable laws and regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to secure favorable outcomes for the organization.

This role is offered on a fixed-term contract basis, valid for a duration of two years.

The ideal candidate must possess the legal authorization to work in the country where they are currently located—Kenya, India, or the United Kingdom—at the time of application, as well as throughout the entirety of the two-year contract period.

Oversee the development and implementation of the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) framework, ensuring full alignment with the strategic objectives.

To lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of MEAL systems, tools, and processes throughout the organization, ensuring their robustness, coherence, and consistent application.

Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership regarding performance trends, risks, and opportunities in the organization’s strategy.

Oversee the organization’s reporting functions, which involve producing routine progress updates for senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, as well as donor and annual reports.

Develop and maintain strong, reliable portfolio management systems and processes to ensure alignment with donor commitments and adherence to organizational strategy.

Facilitate the dissemination of impact-related communications and narratives to engage stakeholders effectively.

Foster seamless coordination among the Impact, Development, and Communications teams to produce cohesive, high-caliber impact communications for diverse stakeholders.

Oversee the creation of the annual Impact Report and key components of the Trustees Annual Report, ensuring the documents present robust evidence, compelling insights, and transparent organizational accountability.

Craft compelling narratives, impactful case studies, and meaningful data to effectively convey the organization’s progress and drive change to donors, partners, members, and the Board.
