The Program Assistant facilitates on-site execution, ongoing monitoring, and data administration for the School Feeding Program and its associated sustainability efforts. This position is responsible for maintaining precise data records, verifying adherence to school-level protocols, and submitting timely reports on field operations.

Assist in executing school feeding initiatives at designated educational institutions, strictly adhering to approved program guidelines and schedules.
Oversee the organization and implementation of food delivery operations at the school level, encompassing the receipt and initial verification procedures.
Provide support in coordinating field operations and facilitating interactions with stakeholders.
Assist in the execution of school-level sustainability initiatives under the Sustainable School Meals Project (SSMP), working in coordination with the SSMP Project Officer to establish, monitor, and provide technical guidance on initiatives such as kitchen gardens, crop cultivation, and poultry farming.
Responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, and disseminating data to track performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role involves establishing monitoring systems to assess progress against objectives, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions. Additionally, the position requires evaluating program effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative assessments, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management tools are essential for success in this role.
Compose quarterly and annual reports, as well as other written materials, to effectively communicate the progress of implementation efforts.
Maintain and update beneficiary and school records, including enrollment data, feeding records, and contact information.
Regular school monitoring visits will be conducted to verify that all activities are progressing as planned, with particular emphasis on timely food deliveries, adherence to food quality standards, appropriate food storage practices, and efficient utilization of food by schools.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for Program Change/Impact narratives.
Regularly communicate progress and developments regarding the school feeding program through all designated communication channels.
Contribute to data collection efforts for needs assessments, baselines, and impact assessments conducted at both the school and community levels.
Regularly maintain and update all required tools and trackers to ensure compliance with established protocols and continuous operational readiness.
The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and local communities, ensuring transparent communication and active involvement in decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include facilitating dialogue, addressing concerns, and fostering collaborative partnerships to support project goals and community development. Job Specification:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is essential, complemented by relevant professional certifications or licenses where applicable. Professionally version:
A minimum of two years of practical experience in a pertinent field, with a track record of increasing responsibility in areas such as School Feeding, Agriculture, Community Development, and Education in Emergencies, is required.
Possesses a solid understanding of or hands-on experience in agricultural and agronomy practices, with a particular emphasis on engagement with educational institutions and nearby communities.
Proficiency working within Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (BASAL) regions or engagement with BASAL communities will be considered a valuable asset.
A valid motorcycle riding license is strongly preferred.
Must be willing and able to ride a motorcycle as a way of accessing project sites.
Experienced in overseeing intricate projects and compiling comprehensive monitoring reports.
Proficient in operating a variety of data collection and reporting platforms, including Kobe, OK, Google Forms, Excel, and Google Sheets, among others.
