POSITION SUMMARY
Kitchen Support Experts provide essential assistance across multiple hotel departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage services, and employee dining facilities. These associates are responsible for entering and retrieving data from computer databases via a keyboard, mouse, or trackball to ensure accurate record-keeping and file updates. Additionally, they operate standard office equipment beyond computers to complete tasks efficiently. Using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software, they prepare correspondence, reports, and other necessary documents. The role also involves establishing and maintaining both digital and physical filing systems to organize records, reports, and other critical documents. Furthermore, these experts compile, duplicate, categorize, and file records related to office operations, business transactions, and other key activities, while leveraging computers to input and retrieve essential work-related information.
Maintain strict adherence to all company policies, safety protocols, and security measures, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions to management. Complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications. Present a polished and professional appearance at all times, including proper uniform standards, while safeguarding confidential information and protecting company assets. Greet and engage guests in accordance with established company guidelines, using clear and professional communication. Foster collaborative working relationships to contribute to shared objectives and team success. Uphold quality standards and ensure consistency in all duties. Sustain prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking, with the ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed. Handle, transport, and position objects up to 25 pounds independently, performing additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors when necessary.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in software development. Candidates should possess strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and familiarity with frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or .NET. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and knowledge of DevOps practices are highly desirable. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions within established timelines.
A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a comparable discipline is required for this position.
Minimum of three to four years of relevant professional experience in a comparable capacity is required.
Ideally, you have prior experience in a hospitality or upscale service setting, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in 4- or 5-star hotels.
