About the Role

We seek an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to act as the primary assistant to the Production Manager (Packhorse), supporting day-to-day operations with efficiency and leadership.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple production areas, making timely operational decisions, and managing the entire production floor with authority. Ensuring adherence to Quality, Food Safety, and Hygiene protocols in alignment with BRCGS Standards is essential. This role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain compliance with stringent regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Responsibilities include overseeing processes to prevent contamination, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, risk assessment, and hygiene best practices is required. Additionally, the ability to train staff on compliance and maintain accurate documentation is critical for ongoing certification and operational excellence.

Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures across all production areas.

Collaborate diligently with Quality Assurance to verify that in-process quality inspections are executed and logged, while proactively addressing any deviations without delay.

Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness to ensure readiness for all daily inspections and external audits.

Champion a “Quality at Source” approach, promptly escalating any potential risks associated with unsafe or out-of-specification products.

Oversee financial performance and operational efficiency through diligent cost management and strategic process improvements. Identify opportunities to reduce expenditures while maintaining high-quality standards and service delivery. Analyze budget variances, track spending trends, and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment with financial targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and drive sustainable cost-saving initiatives. Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor performance and support data-driven decision-making.

Oversee the cost per kilogram by enhancing raw material utilization, improving labor efficiency, and minimizing waste generation.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, hygiene, sanitation, and machine efficiency to ensure operational excellence and compliance with quality standards.

Spearhead ongoing enhancement efforts aimed at boosting productivity and reducing operational expenses.

Responsible for overseeing the efficient management of logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring seamless coordination of inventory flow, order fulfillment, and distribution processes. This role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain accuracy in inventory records, optimize storage solutions, and enforce compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in warehouse management systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive productivity and minimize operational bottlenecks. The position requires a proactive problem-solving approach, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.

Responsible for the management and supervision of warehouse operations pertaining to finished goods, as well as the coordination of dispatch activities.

Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to optimize the scheduling of planned and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimal operational disruption.

Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections to ensure operators adhere to established procedures.

Implement and uphold a “Zero Incident” safety framework while guaranteeing that every accident or near-miss is promptly reported, accurately documented, and thoroughly investigated.

Seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, preferably holding a degree in a related discipline. Must demonstrate strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in industry-specific software or tools. Familiarity with project management methodologies and regulatory compliance standards is essential. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, developing strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Production Management, Food Science, Horticulture, or a closely related discipline.

Requires a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on experience within food processing or fast-moving consumer goods operations, including at least three years dedicated to production management responsibilities that involve leading multiple teams or coordinating across different shifts.
