Job summary/ Job purpose/ Role Intent:
Perform all routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and lead network quality improvement initiatives for the fiber optic network.

Evaluates, diagnoses, and restores aging or defective fiber network infrastructure while performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections and upkeep of optical cables, closure kits, ducts, and manholes.
Develop sensor indicators and conduct thorough inspections to verify the integrity of fiber optic systems, eliminating any potential faults that may compromise operational stability.
Performs routine assessments of the designated system and rectifies any identified deficiencies.
Prepare and uphold accurate system records and diagrams. Conduct fiber optic maintenance tasks such as identifying points of break or link issues, performing splicing operations, ensuring core alignment, and validating splice quality through the application of appropriate tools and techniques.

Ensure that fiber splices achieve a slope of less than 0.25dB/km within each segment, maintaining optimal signal integrity and performance standards.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is also a must, as is a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
