SHOCK seeks a community-focused professional to deliver essential wraparound support for Kenya’s most vulnerable girls, enabling their enrollment, consistent school attendance, and overall thriving. The Scholarship Coordinator will oversee SHOCK’s scholarship program and drive re-enrollment efforts across five target counties, serving as a direct, on-the-ground resource for scholarship recipients. Collaborate with the SUN and Gender department to pinpoint students who satisfy the eligibility requirements for support.

Partner with the Scholarship Officer, SUN facilitators, and Gender team to provide mentorship and organize school holiday programming, with a key responsibility for overseeing logistics planning.

Act as a liaison with families to empower them in supporting scholars’ academic progress and emotional well-being, clearly communicating their vital role in mentorship.

Develop and maintain robust partnerships with local organizations and governmental bodies that serve underserved girls, such as adolescent mothers, with the goal of establishing and expanding collaborative initiatives for scholar recruitment and support programs.

Lead the oversight and coordination of Case Management initiatives while ensuring the holistic welfare and wellbeing of scholars remain at the forefront of all operations.

Develop and oversee scholar welfare and wellbeing initiatives while providing mentorship to scholarship recipients as required.

Continuously engage the parents/guardians and beneficiaries to ensure the students are enrolled in school, and are informed on any matters arising; Escalate any issues to the Scholarship Officer for action
