The Transport and Dispatch Manager will spearhead the evolution and daily operations of a fully operational Transport Department. This position demands strategic leadership, rigorous compliance oversight, and complete accountability for the company’s in-house and outsourced logistics operations. Core responsibilities involve mitigating operational risks such as fuel theft, unauthorized route deviations, and driver collusion, synchronizing interdepartmental delivery schedules, maintaining regulatory adherence, and deploying technology-based solutions to improve efficiency, transparency, and cost-efficiency.

• Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate complex information and derive actionable insights.

Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, fleet management solutions, GPS tracking technologies, or transport management software is essential.

With a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in transport operations, dispatch coordination, logistics management, or fleet supervision, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in overseeing logistical processes and coordinating transportation activities.

Oversee and execute core duties including strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations while maintaining high performance standards. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Monitor team performance, provide mentorship, and offer constructive feedback to foster professional growth and accountability. Serve as a liaison between departments, facilitating clear communication and alignment on key initiatives. Additionally, analyze data, assess risks, and recommend improvements to optimize processes and achieve long-term sustainability.

Monitor garage operations and evaluate mechanic efficiency by tracking repair turnaround times, ensuring compliance with established benchmarks, and compiling performance reports.

Develop and uphold a structured preventive maintenance regimen aimed at minimizing operational disruptions and prolonging the lifespan of critical assets.

Collaborate seamlessly with the Watch Tower to ensure up-to-date daily truck availability in real time.

Monitor and systematically enhance the efficiency of truck turnaround time for each trip to optimize operational performance and reduce delays.

Diligently validate fuel consumption, mileage logs, and petty cash submissions to ensure accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

Source, onboard, and oversee third-party logistics providers, verifying that they adhere to the organization’s stringent requirements, regulatory permits, and compliance obligations.

Develop and execute strategies to reduce operational costs through route optimization, adherence to fuel efficiency standards, and efficient management of spare parts inventory.

Serve as the primary yard marshal, responsible for maintaining order, enforcing discipline, and ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures.

Establish and track driver performance metrics, including turnaround time, adherence to safety protocols, fuel efficiency, and timely delivery of shipments.
