Job Summary
The Data Officer will be responsible for data collation, entry, validation, program monitoring and reporting in the program reporting systems, 3PM, KHIS, DATIM, DREAMS and other online reporting innovations from all the supported health facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure regular supply and availability of DREAMS data collection and reporting tools.
Provide support to staff through mentorship site staff on DREAMS data collection, collation, analysis, and reporting of indicators progress
Take the lead in the timely collection, cleaning and reporting of monthly, quarterly and other routine data to the donor and other stakeholders.
Support the implementation of web-based and mobile DREAMS App-specific solutions to facilitate real-time data transmission and reporting.
Support DREAMS data cleaning and monitoring of data entry into the DREAMS data capture systems through regular data quality audits for quality Service delivery and reporting at the site.
Disseminate and implement DREAMS related Standard operating procedures on data management and other procedures
Contribute to the review and/or development of monitoring and evaluation tools and systems that are responsive to DREAMS data needs
Coordinate weekly and monthly performance data review meetings at the site
Carry out RDQA at the sites on a quarterly basis, provide feedback on data quality issues and implement the data quality improvement plan.
Support initiation and tracking of quality improvement projects in DREAMS site in the CQI digital platform
Respond to ad hoc requests for collection and analysis of data when the need arises
Participate in regional and national stakeholders’ forums or conferences on health and give
Carry out any other duties as may be specified by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Health Records and Information Management, Computer Science, Social science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related courses desired.
Data management and/or M&E training from a recognized Institution is an added advantage.
A minimum of two years’ specific data management work experience in the health sector, additional experience with M&E in regards to HIV/AIDS and/or youth programs an added advantage.
Working knowledge of, DREAMS, DATIM, PEPFAR reporting systems, and KHIS
Experience managing large and complex data sets
High proficiency in Excel
Knowledge of and interpretation of key indicators in HIV/AIDS – DREAMS
