Job Summary

The role of Tax Advisor falls under the People Advisory Services, specifically within the Tax sub-service line. Candidates with strong tax expertise and a solid grasp of technical tax considerations impacting expatriates, local employees, and individuals are encouraged to apply. The ideal applicant will proactively recognize and address potential technical challenges while delivering tailored, effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Finance-related discipline, preferably attained with at least an upper second-class honour or an equivalent qualification, is required.

A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ARCA, CPA, or CA, will be considered an additional asset.

With a minimum of three years of expertise at a distinguished tax service firm, you will have managed multinational clients across all facets of expatriate taxation. Responsibilities include calculating expatriate tax obligations, ensuring social security compliance, advising on the implications of international assignments and short-term cross-border relocations, addressing equity compensation taxation, and navigating the interplay between international tax, immigration, and expatriate tax compliance.

Applicants must have attained at least a B grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) overall, with a minimum B in both English and Mathematics.

Proficient in the complexities of tax and social security legislation, with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

Demonstrates practical proficiency in utilizing tax and engaging with the Kenya Revenue Authority through direct interaction.

Skilled in information technology and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
