The Sales Manager position is a full-time, on-site role located in Nairobi County, Kenya.

This position is tasked with fostering sales expansion across both current and prospective franchise locations, which involves establishing and overseeing sales objectives, evaluating performance metrics, and executing initiatives aimed at boosting revenue and extending market reach.

The Sales Manager will guide and develop a high-performing sales team, offering consistent on-site support while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with franchise partners and essential stakeholders.

The position entails daily tasks such as evaluating sales data, generating reports, collaborating with supply chain and operations teams, and facilitating the implementation of new products or promotions. Additionally, the role encompasses conducting market research, exploring growth opportunities in rural and peri-urban regions, and maintaining alignment between sales initiatives and Wing’s mission and values.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field, along with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and certification in a specialized area is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, developing strategic initiatives, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. The role demands exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

A strong track record in sales leadership is essential, ideally within fast-moving consumer goods, retail, or franchise-driven business sectors.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in developing strategic sales plans, generating accurate forecasts, and monitoring performance through data-driven metrics and analytics.

Seasoned in guiding, mentoring, and energizing sales teams to surpass demanding performance benchmarks.

Must cultivate and sustain strong, collaborative connections with franchisees, partners, and key community stakeholders.

Skilled in operating effectively in rural and peri-urban environments, adopting a practical and field-focused methodology.

Strong proficiency in both verbal and written English, with exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Fluency in Kiswahili is considered a valuable asset.

Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with the capacity to thrive amid rapid change and uncertainty within a fast-paced startup setting.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required; relevant professional certifications are advantageous.

A strong familiarity with the Kenyan retail environment and the base-of-the-pyramid market segments is preferred.

Capable of undertaking regular travel across Kenya to assist franchise branches and drive sales initiatives.
