Role Description
This position is a full-time, on-site Waitress role at Jumbo Ruins Monsoon in Mombasa County, Kenya. The selected candidate will greet guests, process orders, serve food and beverages, and uphold exceptional customer service standards throughout each shift. Duties also involve maintaining a tidy and orderly dining space, coordinating with kitchen and bar personnel, and promptly resolving guest inquiries or special requests.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of seven years of experience in software development, with at least five years in a leadership or team lead role. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, alongside expertise in system architecture and design. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions are critical. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are also necessary.
Demonstrated proficiency in customer interaction and effective communication is essential, requiring strong interpersonal abilities and clear articulation of information to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Proficient in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations and methodologies is required.
A foundational knowledge of culinary techniques and food plating is advantageous.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within team-oriented settings and cultivate productive interpersonal relationships.
Professional experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector is highly desirable.
The position requires availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
