Oversee and execute a comprehensive array of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Conduct both scheduled and unplanned mechanical diagnostics on production machinery to identify and resolve operational issues efficiently.
Analyze mechanical drawings, PIDs, and technical manuals to precisely identify and diagnose faults.
Implement the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program on schedule to reduce unplanned downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Perform condition-based monitoring, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic leak detection.
Ensure full compliance with Lockout-Ragout (LOT) protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) without exception.
Conduct thorough inspections to detect and document any mechanical hazards, then promptly report findings while verifying that all mechanical operations adhere strictly to established Food Safety Standards.
Address mechanical breakdowns swiftly to minimize operational downtime and ensure uninterrupted productivity.
Collaborate effectively with production teams to identify issues and deliver expert technical assistance.
Provide support in the installation, commissioning, and mechanical configuration of new equipment.
Document all maintenance activities and parts utilization with precision.
Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Suggest improvements to mechanical systems to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Minimum Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a related industry. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
A minimum of six years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician within a manufacturing setting is required, with prior work in food or beverage processing considered a valuable asset.
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Proven expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues within mechanical systems, with comprehensive experience in conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
We value hands-on experience with precision maintenance instruments, including laser alignment systems, dial indicators, and calibrated torque wrenches.
Basic understanding of how mechanical systems integrate with and affect electrical control systems (e.g., limit switches, sensors).
Proficient in mechanical systems integral to food processing, including sanitary design principles, stainless steel finishes, and compatibility with Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) systems.
