Our esteemed client, a premier law firm based in Nairobi, Kenya, is recruiting a Commercial and Conveyancing Advocate to operate from its Nairobi headquarters. Oversee a wide range of operational tasks to ensure seamless daily functions, including managing workflows, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining productivity standards. Conduct thorough research to determine legal ownership of properties by examining government land registry documents or title deeds, particularly in cases where the land remains unregistered.
Draft lease agreements for properties and verify that all contracts are executed by the designated transfer date.
Ensure meticulous and expedited management of all client-related transactions before the Lands Registry, Local Authorities, Survey of Kenya, and the National Lands Commission.
Leveraging strong communication skills, this role involves collaborating with clients and critical stakeholders, including mortgage lenders, real estate agents, property appraisers, and surveyors.
Upon issuance, the terms of engagement are dispatched along with detailed estimates for professional fees and reimbursable expenses.
Provide support in conducting due diligence and addressing intellectual property concerns associated with contracts, agreements, and other transactional matters.
Responsibilities include managing stamp duty payments and facilitating the registration of documents across various registries.
Obtain necessary clearance certificates and consents to ensure full regulatory compliance for all operations.
Serve as an intermediary between the Land Registry and various government departments, facilitating seamless communication and coordination to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational efficiency.
Prepare legal documentation, including conveyancing agreements and other pertinent legal papers.
