ABOUT THE ROLE
Key duties associated with this position encompass the following:
Deliver high-quality, practical physics instruction grounded in real-world applications, ensuring full alignment with the Kenya curriculum standards.
Develop and sustain professional, constructive, and positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Develop lesson plans and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and update lessons as needed or requested.
Design engaging, developmentally appropriate learning spaces that foster academic growth while maintaining structure and focus to optimize student success.
Deliver engaging lessons infused with enthusiasm and dedication to cultivate students’ enthusiasm for academic achievement.
To foster academic and cultural growth among all students, implement appropriate accommodations and modifications to ensure their success.
Ensure students achieve proficiency in the curriculum and meet established academic standards.
Incorporate engaging interactive technologies into educational sessions to elevate the quality of instructional delivery.
Establish and convey challenging yet attainable objectives for every student, ensuring they are clearly understood, while delivering constructive feedback that fosters internalization and growth.
Deliver fair and consistent rewards and consequences for student conduct while consistently exemplifying the expected behaviors as a model for students to follow.
Achieve the organization’s ambitious objectives with unwavering consistency, driving forward in a fast-paced and expanding environment.
Fulfill the role of either a teacher on duty or a boarding teacher on duty while providing assistance to school-wide initiatives focused on behavior interventions.
Accurately and promptly document students’ academic performance and clearly communicate their progress to NP families and other stakeholders as needed.
Assist in the development and facilitation of clubs, societies, and other essential co-curricular activities at the school to foster well-rounded student growth.
When the need arises, you will be responsible for serving as a homeroom teacher.
ABOUT YOU
Required skills and qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of professional experience in a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to evolving priorities is crucial.
TSC certification is required, along with a Degree in Education specializing in Physics, or a closely related field.
Three years of full-time teaching experience is a strict requirement for this position.
