  • Logistics Coordinator

    What will you do?

    Planned and organized transport of material from overseas and local suppliers to warehouses.
    Handle the customs/broker-related information management.
    Process necessary shipping documents and/or shipment-related documents required by local authorities.
    Plan and order delivery of materials from local warehouse to site.
    Coordinate logistics execution with locally outsourced logistics providers if applicable.
    Manage the consolidation of local materials for site delivery.
    Order transportation or additional services from logistics providers as requested.
    Review invoices/PO differences clarify these and manage the correct posting of logistics cost to cost categories and projects.
    Coordinate tools management and control and track the collection from the stores.

    Are you the one?

    Diploma in Supply Chain Management or higher.
    3 -5 years of experience in logistics focusing on local and international supply lines.
    Strong understanding of shipping and related documentation processes.
    SAP knowledge is preferable.
    Excellent English language skills.
    Excellent MS Office skills.
    Organized with excellent communication and follow-up skills.

  • Technical Support Engineering Intern

    Responsibilities

    Response and Resolution
    Reviews issues and contacts customers to understand issue. Ensures customers stay informed as to the status/solution of their issue. Utilizes troubleshooting tools (e.g., event logs, performance traces) to help resolve customer issues.
    Handles customer issues through collaboration, resolution, or escalation. Documents technical work and research.
    Analyzes problems and develops solutions to meet customer needs using log analysis and other proprietary tools.
    Collaborates on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve moderately complex customer issues.

    Readiness

    Attends readiness trainings and non-technical trainings to ensure that they become proficient in support topics.
    Product/Process Improvement
    Provides feedback to improve products to more senior engineers or technical advisors.
    Identifies potential defects and escalates to more senior engineers to resolve.
    Uses available tools to deliver solutions for customer issues of limited scope.
    Follows processes provided by the business.
    Attends case triage meetings and/or case discussions to collaborate and share ideas to resolve problems.

    Required Qualifications

    Working Conditions

    Part-time, 6-month renewable contract.

    May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule.

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Establish strong relationship with all decision makers, influencers and blockers within assigned customers.

    Maintain customer and opportunity data in Salesforce.com
    Keeping abreast on Competitor Products, Prices, Commercial Terms and stock levels and report on them on a monthly basis.

    The Chief of Party (CoP) is the leader of the team and is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, results and management of the performance of the Award. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor or other Senior Management officers as need arises, he/she is the team’s primary point of contact with USAID and is responsible for establishing and maintaining constructive working relationships with counterparts at the other Open Universities and with other stakeholders. The proposed CoP must have outstanding past performance references and a record of successfully leading projects that are similar in size and complexity. Complementarity of technical understanding with the other personnel is essential. In addition, the CoP must have the following qualifications:

    At least a Masters degree in a relevant field such as international development, education, public policy, youth development, or other related social/behavioral sciences;
    Eight years of relevant and progressively increasing responsibility leading programs focused on youth development, youth leadership, higher education, livelihoods, private sector engagement, civil society, or other fields related to the program. Significant relevant experience as CoP, Deputy CoP or Senior Program Manager is required;
    Demonstrated success working with senior government officials, donor partners, international organization partners, and private sector partners in assessing challenges, co-creating and implementing solutions, and achieving measurable results in development projects preferably at a regional level;
    Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead, mentor, and motivate teams in dynamic environments; foster effective partnerships in horizontal multicultural relationships; and navigate bureaucratic structures to achieve timely results. Specific examples of the CoP’s experience in fostering, leading, or managing these kinds of partnerships and relationships must be well documented; and
    The CoP must have a demonstrated leadership ability in providing oversight of local capacity development efforts, including working with local partners and/or youth organizations to ensure adherence to all sub-award requirements.

  • Resident Engineer

    Responsibilities

    Prepare cost estimates and compile detailed bills of quantities
    Review and report on cost submissions prepared by contractor for completeness of all necessary information and supporting documentation to substantiate the cost. Identify and request any/all missing documents and review that all supporting documents are properly correlated and cross referenced.
    Request, review and comment on, pricing information and its supporting documents such as but not limited to quotations, purchase orders, invoices, unit price-build-ups, measurement of quantities.
    Prepare unit prices benchmarks based on similar and/or analogous items.
    Review and supervise quantities measurement when required.
    Review contractor’s payment certificates including review of compilation of all cost items in accordance with agreed and/or approved unit prices and agreed quantity measurement and prepare Payment Certificate Reports, all in accordance with Contract requirements.
    Prepare Cost Reports incorporating financial status and progress of the various cost items.
    Contract Administration and contractual correspondences.
    Technical supervision of contractor works
    Undertake quality checks and control for client deliverables all in accordance with Best Practice manual.

    Skills and experience

    Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering.
    15 Years of Experience (Minimum 5 Years exp. as a Resident Engineer).
    Registered professional engineer.
    Extensive experience and skills in FIDIC contract management.
    Real estate projects experience is an advantage.
    Project Management certification is an advantage.
    Solid Experience in road and infrastructure projects.
    Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
    Extensive knowledge in AutoCAD & Revit
