    Clinical Nurse, CATH LAB

    Responsibilities:

    Performs health assessment of patients brought to Cath lab to identify their care needs
    Ensures patients are adequately prepared for procedures and that documentation is up to date
    Prepares the necessary procedure trays and equipment before procedure while maintain sterility.
    Maintain highest standards of infection control, as per hospital policies and procedure.
    Assists the physician to perform procedures, and administers the necessary medications
    Monitors patients during and after procedures and reports to the physician any abnormal findings e.g. arrhythmias, excessive bleeding from insertion sites, pain etc
    Participates in life-saving actions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation
    Educates patients and families about Cardiac diseases and their therapies
    Maintains accurate documentation of the procedure, Hemodynamic monitoring, monitor patient vital signs and Medications given in the Cath lab
    Ensures discharge instructions from Cath lab are clear and documented and hands over the patients to the floors, where applicable.
    Provides safe environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices, timely safety checks of IV pumps, oxygen source, and other Cath lab equipment
    Takes accountability for efficient use of recourses and practice judicious stock control at all times i.e. accurate and timely billing of used CSSD items and Unit drugs
    Responsible for safe use of Cath lab equipment through proper cleaning, storage, per shift checks of the inventory and timely reporting of non-functional equipment to the nurse manager 
    Participates in cardiac research projects, unit nursing education and teaching of nurses in other units about the Cath lab and its operations.
    Participates in Hospital wide quality improvement (QI) projects, audits, Clinical care program certification (CCPC), spot checks and skill checks.
     Assists in Coronary Care Unit or Heart clinic in time of low census
     Participates in orientation of new nurses

    Requirements:

    Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from a recognized school of nursing or University
    Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    Demonstrate evidence based knowledge of current practices in Critical Care nursing

    Liaise closely with other team members and with other departments in the BBC, to ensure that output material is shared, duplication is avoided, and best practice is upheld.

    Tailor different news treatments for different audiences ensuring that the output reflects the audiences we serve.
    Prioritise and plan activities taking into account all the relevant issues and factors such as deadlines, staffing and resources available.

    As Journalist, you will have demonstrable experience in originating, editing and curating engaging social and digital content, also:

    Experience in planning for big events, commissioning, developing and remote producing TV, radio and digital content to the highest quality

    Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people for gathering in African countries
    Experience in producing content for underserved and younger audiences
    Experienced in the use of digital analytics to maximise the impact of our videos and drive change when needed

    Purpose for the Job

    To provide effective support to the Human Resources Division functions.

    To ensure that staff data and information is readily available at the request of management. The Human Resource Officer will collect, compile and analyze HR data, metrics and statistics to assist management in making key decisions.

    Duties and Responsiblities

    Development of annual learning and development calendar and assist in organizing and implementation of staff training and development programs.
    Employee Onboarding: Support new staff members through weekly follow-ups during their first month, to ensure smooth transition and settlement into their new roles. Work with line managers to address any concerns raised promptly.
    Maintain up to date master data of all employee records.
    Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports that track key HR metrics such as employee turnover and head count.
    Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including HR Information System and Payroll outputs management, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, Government labour statistic, competitor practices and other sources.
    Conduct ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to identify trends and insights related to HR programs and initiatives including designing, managing and analyzing employee surveys.
    Work closely with Line Manager and teams to ensure that objective setting has been completed and Job Descriptions issued and communicated to the teams.
    Assist with HR budgeting.
    Support in the coordination and implementation of HR initiatives including talent management.
    Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
    Leave management – monitoring and providing leave reports.
    Offer guidance to staff on Human Resource policies and procedures.

    Key Competencies

    Knowledge And Skills Required

    Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a data driven environment.
    Knowledge of labour laws and Govement regulations that conce employment matters.
    Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    Undertake an Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) with the aim of establishing the existing institutional governance, management and operational capacities, gaps, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

    SPECIFIC TASKS

    Carry out a review of AET’s/TTWCA background documents including previous OCA reports, ISPs, and other documents to inform the OCA process.
    Develop a methodology for the OCA.
    Undertake a comprehensive organizational capacity assessment (OCA) of AET and TTWCA
    Develop a comprehensive institutional capacity development plan, informed by the OCA, which details the areas, systems and processes required to develop governance, management, and operational capacities of both AET and TTWCA

    KEY DELIVERABLES

    OCA reports for AET and TTWCA that meets the assessment objectives contained in the ToR;
    Comprehensive institutional strengthening plans for AET and TTWCA

    Key responsibilities:

    The GALS Facilitator/s primary responsibilities will include:
    In partnership with selected CFYE Kenya Implementing partners, the consultant will design the selection criteria of the targeted trainees, mobilise and select final list of trainees to be trained on the GALS.
    Informed by IPs needs, the consultant is expected to design the delivery strategy and implementation of GALS modules training.
    Support CFYE Kenya Implementing partners to collect data on progress and results, providing insights into the effectiveness of the intervention, and for the learning of CFYE Kenya Country team.
    The facilitator will also work alongside the CFYE Kenya Gender consultant who is supporting the implementing partners with their Gender diagnostics, action planning and delivering coaching sessions.

    Scope of Work:

    Review the literature/Implementing Partners information informing the selection of the GALS training.
    Assist CFYE Implementing partners in the selection of relevant target trainees/participants
    Prepare the necessary materials and conduct an orientation for the appointed Implementing Partner staff and field agents (community champions)
    Deliver the selected GALS modules
    Assist CFYE Implementing partners (during the training) to identify the engagement and mobilisation process, including by developing/adapting guidelines explaining the purpose, benefits, and process of the workshops and addressing any concerns or barriers to participation, ensuring that targeted project beneficiaries are motivated to engage fully in the process.
    Support participants in creating data collection tools or adapting existing ones (as needed and relevant) to track beneficiaries’ progress and assess the effectiveness of the GALS approach.

    Deliverables:

    Develop a workplan of how the assignment will be carried out
    Final list of the targeted/relevant staff and field level champions identified and mobilised
    Workshop materials including the GALS modules are adapted the CFYE IPs project dynamics
    Conduct an orientation of the GALS methodology with the selected staff of IPs

    Required Qualifications:

    Proven experience in gender equality programming and facilitation, particularly in rural or agricultural settings.
    Extensive experience planning and delivering the GALS methodology and other gender-transformative approaches in Keny including but not limited to corporate social responsibility, gender policies, implementation and advisory, gender economic empowerment, Gender inclusion
    A demonstrated understanding of issues and challenges related to gender in sectors such as Digi-health, Agriculture, Agro-Logistics, Waste Recycling among others.
    Experience working with both men and women to promote gender equity.
    Ability to work independently as well as take an advisory role with multiple stakeholders in a time-pressured environment.  
    Strong communication and training skills, including the ability to engage diverse groups and individuals.
