    Job description
    Responsibilities:

    Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and other Support

    Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems.
    Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory.
    Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling.
    Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
    Operate airline communications equipment.
    Communicate and interface with customer.
    As required, based on aircraft type, may work on other aircraft equipment as assigned.

    Administrative/Documentation

    Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
    Receive and prepare parts.
    Assist in tracking the spares inventory.
    Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or upper management.

    Qualifications: Qualifications and experience

    High school diploma or equivalent.
    1 -3 years related industry experience preferred.
    Appropriate academic/technical qualifications and experience to satisfy regulatory licensing for assigned country or geographical region, and customer requirements e.g.
    FAA, GCAA, CASA or EASA A, B1 and/or B2 with relevant type ratings.
    Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.

    Knowledge And Skills

    Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals and to comprehend and follow verbal instruction in English, the global aviation standard.
    Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook (MS products).

    CMMB has been working in Kenya for almost 15 years. CMMB works to ensure that the most vulnerable populations, especially mothers and children, have access to quality services in health care, health promotion and illness prevention.
    Overview
    Under the direct supervision of the CHAMPS Program Coordinator Officer The WASH Project Officer will generally oversee the implementation of Public Health and Social Aspects of WASH project in Athi ward in Kitui South sub-county.
    Responsibilities Training

     Identification of training needs and organization of the appropriate trainings for intended beneficiaries including CHVs, community leaders, school health club patrons, health care workers among others.
    Identification of key hygiene practices to be addressed in schools, health facilities and in homes and to engage the community in defining appropriate communication strategies for safe WASH practices

    Supervision

    Mobilization of the affected communities for participation in design, construction, operation, and maintenance of WASH facilities and services.
     Undertaking water quality (microbial, physical and chemical) analysis and purification of water using potable water quality kit, as per water quality technical guidelines approved by the government/WHO.
    Creation of channels for dialogue (water user committees, Parents and Teachers Associations, schools administration and county water departments to ensure appropriate technical and social interventions in order to secure outcome, impact and sustainability.

    Planning and Coordinator

    Implementation and monitoring of WASH project activities appropriate to members of the community including children and women.
    Facilitation of the Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) approach through which WASH activities can be implemented.
     Contributing towards development of the WASH program implementation approaches, strategies and the overall (CMMB Children and Mothers Partnerships (CHAMPS) strategy in Kitui.
    Ensuring technical and programmatic quality of the WASH project
     Assisting in preparation of WASH implementation plans or proposals for possible funding.
    Ensuring that program inputs are procured, handled and distributed responsibly.
    Sensitize the community both formally and informally on their role in sustainable water supply and hygiene practices.
     Assisting in the development and/or introduction of new policies, approaches, methods and practices in WASH.

    Representation and Networking

    Regularly liaise with the relevant Stakeholders including NGOs involved in water and sanitation interventions for effective implementation of project activities in the operational area

    Documentation

    Compilation of monthly activity reports for inclusion in the qualitative and quantitative reports submitted to Country Office, and contributing to the other reports as required.

    Qualifications

    You have a Bachelors’s degree in Environmental/Public Heath, Water management or related field.
    You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in WASH program in the rural settings.
     You have excellent coordination and networking skills including liaison with WASH stakeholders.
    You have knowledge and experience working on the National Community Health Strategy.
    You have have good analytical and writing skills.
    Resource Mobilization and proposal writing experience will be added advantage.

    Key Qualifications Skills and Experience:
    To be appointed to this role, the successful candidate must be a Kenyan citizen and possess the following key requirements;

    The HPC System Administrator will design, deploy, administer, and update large-scale operational forecasting and research systems, related infrastructure services, and operating systems at ICPAC and its Member State National Meteorological and Hydrological Services. She/he will work under the direct supervision of the Climate Diagnostics and Prediction Program Manager based on a work plan endorsed by the Program Manager and the Director of ICPAC.
    Job description
    Overall purposes of the post include:
    To build lasting capacity of ICPAC and participating National Meteorological and Hydrological Services in HPC systems management to enable advanced climate modelling and diagnostics operations for the provision of effective and tailored climate products and services at ICPAC and in the Greater Horn of Africa.
    Provide technical advice and capacity development support to the National Meteorological & Hydrological Services on implementation of activities related to HPC systems.
    Responsibilities:

    Assess ICPAC’s current HPC infrastructure and propose ways to ensure it meets international standards;
    Assess the technical capacities and HPC resources of ICPAC’s Member State NMHSs;
    Working closely with ICPAC’s climate modelling group and I.T. Expert, install, manage and maintain a suite of software needed in climate modelling and parallel computing, including preparing batch scripts for parallel job runs. Do the same for NMHSs that currently operate HPC systems;
    Guide ICPAC into joining and acquiring affordable internet service from UbuntuNet Alliance;
    Work with ICPAC’s I.T. Expert as well as Maintenance Assistant to ensure ICPAC’s HPC systems safely shut down in case of emergency due to power disruption;
    Propose an effective data storage and archival plan to complement existing storage arrangement for ICPAC’s HPCs;
    Work with ICPAC’s I.T. Expert to enhance the security of the HPC system;
    Assist ICPAC’s I.T. Expert to coordinate acquisition of new IT resources, regular improvements or upgrades and also customize software programs for internal needs;
    Assist ICPAC’s I.T. Expert to review the IT needs and requirements against emerging technological trends and advice management on how the needs can be met using the latest technology;
    Work with ICPAC’s I.T. Expert to develop and implement a systematic training plan to strengthen the capacity of ICPAC staff and national meteorological services in the use of HPC systems;
    Develop with the assistance of ICPAC’s I.T. Expert, systems and structures ensuring that integrated operational procedures are maintained after the deployment has ended;
    Any other relevant assignment by ICPAC.

    Qualifications

    University degree at MSc level in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other closely related field. A PhD is preferred.
    At least two years of experience with Linux system administration and networking.
    Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux systems in a scientific or research computing environment;
    Experience with system management frameworks;
    Demonstrated experience with programming in at least one C/C++, Perl, Python, or UNIX shell;
    Experience with high-performance interconnects (e.g., Fiber Channel, Gigabit ethernet), high performance storage, and/or distributed storage systems;
    Extensive understanding of Linux/UNIX-based operating systems;
