    Key responsibilities:

    Collaborate with IT operations, Legal, Security, and Engineering teams to define and implement policies and procedures
    Help to design and implement controls to strengthen the company’s Security Posture
    Collaborate with various teams to ensure security standards are met across all projects
    Assess vulnerabilities/risks that could affect the integrity, availability, or confidentiality of data, systems, or services of the company and provide mitigation solutions
    Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, relevant security standards best practices, regulations and client requirements to identify gaps and provide remediation solutions
    Ensure controls are configured correctly and integrated into the security strategy
    Collaborate with internal teams to respond to Security Questionnaires, Contract Compliance and Security & Compliance posture questions from customers
    Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding security & compliance practices
    Collaborate with internal teams to gather evidence for external audits
    Participate in the creation and or maintenance of the Information Security Management System
    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on Security standards, best practices and trends to ensure ongoing compliance

    Required skills and experience:

    2+ years of experience within a security and compliance function
    Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to align with company’s strategy and best practices
    Experience with security controls implementation, configuration and maintenance
    Experience with vulnerability management tooling, remediation, and processes
    Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (Python, C, C++, Java)
    Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu preferred)
    Understanding of concepts related to Systems Engineering/DevOps, IaC, IAM, network security, systems security, cryptography
    Have a wide understanding of cybersecurity and data protection frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA.
    Experience with third party and external audits

    Valuable experience:

    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
    Affinity with Open Source software with regards to compliance
    Knowledge of designing and implementing security processes and solutions with topics ranging from architecture, governance, compliance, and operations

    Purpose of the position

    The Digital Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis and Quality Assurance Competence) is responsible for the analysis, design, and quality assurance of the management information systems (MIS) for public services in projects undertaken by Development Pathways, providing advice on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and MISs to governments and development organisations, and contributing to cutting-edge technology development.
    A core component of the job entails translation of the high-level requirements of system design into detailed system requirements including process maps, use case diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams, documentation of system interfaces and development of data models.  Additionally, the position plays a crucial role in providing quality assurance of the custom-built software solutions – primarily built using C# .Net and SQL Server – by developing testing strategies and implementing comprehensive internal – manual and automated – tests and leading external User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients.
    The role will also involve international travel up to three months in a year.

    Main Responsibilities and Duties

    Systems Analysis and Design (50%)

    Assist users model ideas into concrete plans and document practical system solutions to match the requirements.

    Develop requirements gathering methodologies and collate data from multiple sources i.e., interviews, questionnaires, workshops (with system developers and clients), and observations.
    Elicit and document user requirements clearly setting out processes/functions, actors, workflows, and state (paper/electronic).
    Define smart system requirements bringing out distinctions between functional and non-functional requirements while analysing and highlighting mandatory and optional specifications.
    Simulate requirements into simple and easily comprehensible manner using tools such as flow charts, process flow diagrams and use case diagrams.
    Translate the user and system requirements into design specifications and document them in formats that can be understood by system developers and users using tools such as wireframes, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and visual prototypes.

    System Testing (50%)

    Develop quality assurance strategies and ensure buy-in from system stakeholders.
    Develop detailed test cases and scenarios that fully address the functional and non-functional requirements based on the system requirements specifications.
    Lead/manage the testing process of an MIS throughout the software development life cycle.
    Carry out manual testing in an exhaustive and systematic manner.
    Plan and manage the User Acceptance Test (UAT) process.
    Prepare test data covering multiple test cases and scenarios.
    Develop training plans and training materials.
    Deliver MIS operational training.
    Develop system documentation especially the user manual and support in the preparation of other manuals such as the system administration manual.
    Employ automated documentation tools to improve manual documentation experience.

    Your Profile

    ESSENTIAL:

    A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Sciences, or related degree.
    A minimum of 10 years of digital technology experience working in ICT industry with at least 5 years’ hands-on expertise working on public sector projects as a system analyst.
    Excellent skills in translating user and system requirements into wireframes and mockup screens using tools such as Adobe Experience, Lucidchart, Axure RP, and Balsamiq.
    Knowledge of automated testing tools for performance, functionality, and security testing.
    Broad understanding of digital principles and how they can be employed to build user centred and sustainable digital technology solutions.
    Understanding of user experience design, user journeys and database design based on software industry standards.
    Strong experience in conducting business process reviews, functional gap analysis and developing system solutions particularly for public sector programmes.
    Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
    Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    Background in software development using Visual Studio C# .Net Core Framework and SQL Server relational database management system.
    Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
    Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, and user support.
    Sound knowledge of MISs or other relevant information systems.
    Fluent in English.

    DESIRABLE:

    A master’s degree in computer-related field.
    International work experience in developing countries conducting similar work is an advantage.

    Position Summary

    Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is excited to share a unique opportunity to connect and develop an expert entrepreneurial membership network. The Manager, MEPA Region (Middle East, Pakistan, & Africa) will guide the chapters, chapter leadership, and Regional Council members (mainly Area Directors) across Africa, consistent with the mission and vision statements of the organization. The Manager will advise chapter board officers on standard chapter operations and best practices. The primary goal of the Manager is to create healthy, growing chapters that consistently deliver the EO brand to their members.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    Manages a portfolio of chapters throughout Africa, building relationships with chapter members, and helping to provide valuable member experience.
    Stimulates growth strategies within the chapters through various strategies.
    Acts as the first point of contact for help and assistance to chapters in Africa, acting as an advocate where needed for the global organization.
    Ensures proper representation of the EO brand by local chapters.
    Helps chapters with a variety of issues throughout the year with the main goal of putting the chapter in the best possible position to succeed.
    Promotes EO Global initiatives within the region.
    Manages membership reports for board members, regional council members, and EO colleagues when relevant to the activities of the region as needed.
    Liaises with Presidents and President-Elects of the region’s chapters and serves as the main point of contact for chapter staff across the region.
    Facilitates contact with the global functional teams to support local Board Members.
    Contributes to Chapter Staff Training in Africa.
    Occasionally leads ad-hoc projects affecting the entire MEPA region and supporting Chapter Launch efforts (in coordination with Chapter Launch team).
    Assists with chapter strategic planning and execution during annual summit meetings, monthly area calls, and other scheduled chapter events. Attends approximately three EO leadership and membership conferences per year.
    Collaborates with the Regional Council while serving as the direct liaison to the Area Director of Africa.
    Supports preparation for the annual Presidents’ Meeting.
    Assists the Director, MEPA in preparing for the Regional Council Meetings (3-5 annually) with information on African chapters. Supports extra activities for Africa during these meetings (ex. Area Dinner, Area Summit).
    Drives, tracks, and reports, Global Leadership Conference (GLC) event activities.
    Performs other duties as needed.

    Qualifications, Skills, And Knowledge Required

    Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent work experience.
    Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit/association/membership organization.
    Ability to travel 30% of the year.
    Native-level proficiency in English required, fluency is Arabic is a plus.
    Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
    Event and logistic experience preferred.
    Proficiency in collaboration, CRM, project management tools preferred.
    Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and poise.
