    Scope of Work
    Goal and objective:

    Under the supervision of the Partnerships Specialist in the PPP section in ESARO, the consultant will manage an oversight on proposals, grant implementation, donor visibility and reports for LDSC and potentially one more donor to:
    Ensure a smooth coordination with Country offices implementing the partnership
    Ensure a coordination with programme team in RO
    Coordinate with UNICEF USA on concept notes, proposals and reports
    RO & CO staff have the tools and skills necessary to engage both public & private sector actors to secure high-impact financial & non-financial partnerships to further regional priorities.
    Most of private sector incomes for RO and CO’s in the region are through NatComs and global donors. We are seeing a trend in some donors localizing their engagement with UNICEF. LDSC is one such donor where we work with 2 area offices and have multiple grants. We have recently secured a $6 million commitment for 2024-2025 with a potential to extend for 2 more years. Stressing on the need for us to have a strong donor stewardship.
    The consultant will work closely with partnerships specialist and the 13 country offices being supported in 2024 to help create processes and build coordination tools to help us manage the donor well.

    Activities and Tasks: 

    Support Country Offices and programme teams on the implementation of the grant, basis the donor proposal and communication guidelines,  ensuring all countries count with relevant and updated information for a successful implementation
    Align on timelines of implementation with Country Offices in line with delivery proposed by COs in the proposal
    Support Country Offices on their implementation of donor communication plans and creating updates for the donor
    Support Country Offices on coordinating meetings and field visits with the donor
    Maintain oversight on grant expenditure and programme progress. Flag any delays and issues with partnership management
    Ensure timely and quality reports from CO’s to UNICEF USA

    Job Description:
    The Research, Learning and Knowledge Management ( KM) Intern will support the development of the regional research and KM strategy and coordinate implementation of various initiatives.  The role coordinates the generation, building, and sharing of knowledge to enhance child wellbeing through WV programs. The role shall work closely with the Strategy and Programme Quality department, with the support and coaching of the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, and in collaboration with other teams and leaders to support in the implementation and tracking of the partnership/regional office learning agenda. The role shall support, in collaboration with the communication and GAM units, the sharing of key updates, reports, and success stories in line with the three focus areas (Impact, Influence, and Income). The intern will also track the implementation of the Box project for timely document updates that would ensure ease of access and collaboration within (and across) teams.
    The role will work closely with the regional M&E Advisor to ensure the implementation of quality research and the generation of timely analysis on context (desired topics), enabling learning and agility in programming.
    MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Support documentation, content creation and learning (40%)

    Support mapping of NO and regional researches in line with Research Agenda and Plans
    Support the development of summary research findings with the related offices and/or units
    Review research and learning reports for quality and compliance to set standards
    Research various topics and subjects as assigned, including in providing data on indicators of interest
    Document research recommendations and track their implementation, enabling agility in programming
    Provide technical support for quality research where appropriate
    Support in packaging learning information and publications
    Support quality documentation of regional learning forums
    Producing reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and insights
    Support in meta-analysis of research projects and evaluation reports
    Manage data base and information on university and research institution partners.

    Support review, updating and tracking Knowledge Management platforms (35%) ​

    Provide technical support in content development in the Strategy and Programme Quality and other departments
    Support in the review of files and resources updated in Knowledge Management platforms, ensuring their quality and usability.
    Collaborate with Knowledge Management Champions in updating resources on related KM platforms
    Track the implementation of Knowledge Management in line with the Critical to Quality framework
    Support to organize and maintain knowledge repositories, such as databases, or document management systems.
    Support in setting up and managing Box folder structures and naming in compliance to the WVI EARO Knowledge Management Protocol
    Support development of questionnaire and data collection on research and Km initiatives.

    Support capacity building (15%)

    Provide technical support in the use of Box and other Knowledge Management platforms including wvcentral, MS Teams, and Onedrive amongst others
    Support staff orientation on the use of KM platforms

    Admin support and Others (10%)

    Handling scheduling, coordination, and other administrative tasks related to learning and knowledge management activities.
    Adherence to Ethical and Regulatory Standards: Following ethical guidelines, ensuring research practices align with established standards and regulations.
    Perform any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or designee from time to time
    Participate and contribute in committees and task forces as may be signed from time to time
    Support and follow up communication with field offices, GC and university partners.
    Organize scheduling and note taking for CHILD advisory group engagements.

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
    Required Professional Experience

    A Masters Degree in research-related courses, including but not limited to Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Project Management, or any related field of study. 
    Relevant and good exposure in the field
    Demonstrate ability to integrate Faith and development in work and life

    Required Education,training, license,registration, and certification

    Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
    Must be well respected in society for Christian values and professionalism.
    Good knowledge and commitment to WV’s ethos, philosophy of work and CORE documents.
    Demonstrated Leadership skills evidenced by previous leadership roles in a church, Christian Union and/or para church organization.
    Must possess sound biblical beliefs.

    We are looking for an intern who will work at DRC East Africa & Great Lakes Regional Office in Nairobi. The Regional Business Development Intern will support the identification of funding opportunities,  and contribute to the growth and sustainability of humanitarian programmes by providing research, administrative, and logistical support to the business development team
    Responsibilities:
    Responsibilities:  

    Collate and draft project/activity references, necessary for capacity statements, EOIs/concept notes and engagement.  
    Assist in updating the BD tracker and follow up with Country Offices if any information is pending. Based on the tracker, alert the Regional Business Development Coordinator if some processes (Go No Goes, QC processes, etc.) require following up.  
    Support with data entry into the tracker. 
    Carry out specific research into donor and foundations strategies, priorities, background on specific opportunities, etc.  
    Identify and map potential INGO and commercial partners.  
    Support in the identification and capture of emergency and protection funding sources specifically.  
    Specific support to HDP sector mapping to identify potential sources of funding and identify thematic or geographic areas that are not well covered. 
    Gathering and organizing information on potential partners, competitors, and stakeholders. 
    Supporting the maintenance of donor databases and ensuring records are up to date. 
    Helping to organize and prepare for donor meetings and presentations. 
    Helping organize training sessions and workshops for staff on business development skills. 
    Assisting in the development of training materials and resources.  
    Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of business development activities. 
    Assisting in the collection and analysis of data to assess the win/losses. 
    Any other relevant task as may be assigned.
