    The pool & gym attendant will be serving the needs of the business and guests by effective service delivery in the pool and gym area to ensure guest satisfaction and safety. The key duties and responsibilities will be to work with colleagues in all departments to ensure efficient operation and timely service at the pool  and gym area in line with the best service standards.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Greet all guests upon arrival at the pool and the gym, issue and collect towels while returning them to the laundry.
    Provide excellent service consistent with the hotels standards operating procedures and brand attributes.
    Ensure swimming pools and the complete gym area is clean at any times and report any maintenance issues to maintenance department
    Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of gym and also pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs
    Observes and patrols pool and gym areas and also enforces safety regulations.
    Facilitate and maintain consistent pool safety programs, training, and documentation to ensure the overall safety of guests in the pool area.
    Identify and report defects throughout the pool and gym area, notify supervisors and concerned departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations.
    Willing to take ownership of all guest requests and complaints, try to resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guests satisfaction.
    Maintaining the pool including treating, cleaning, brushing and any other necessary pool maintenance
    Assist customers in safe exercising and proper body alignment.
    Ensure that fitness equipment and tools are maintained in safe and good working conditions.
    Conduct fitness classes to meet the physical abilities and interest of customers.
    Report to management in need of fitness equipment maintenance and repair works.
    Deliver consistent guests service while exceeding guests expectations and providing all other supporting services.
    Any other duties as shall be assigned from time to time

    REQUIREMENTS

    A certificate in physical fitness/physical Education
    Must have a life guard certificate
    At least 1 year’s work experience in a similar position
    First Aid training
    Have undergone a Fire, Life and Safety Training

    ROLE PURPOSE
    Nutrition Officer will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the health components in the Global Malnutrition Initiative Project (MI). MI Project’s main objective is to generate evidence that will inform development of policy and practice regarding the integration of management of acute malnutrition into iCCM. It is a 3 years where CHVs are trained to screen, diagnose and treat moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) and severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and control arm where CHVs are only screening and referring MAM/SAM cases to the nearby health facility for treatment by healthcare professionals. Nutrition officer will play a critical role in promoting delivery of quality life-saving interventions in collaboration with health and nutrition teams within Save the Children and with key stakeholders. In close liaison with MEAL, support in collection, processing and verification of reports/forms and maintains programme/projects databases.
    KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
    Programme
    Together MOH counterpart, contribute to project performance by;

    Providing technical assistance to MoH towards implementation of integrated community case management and community management of acute malnutrition.
    System strengthening through monitoring of IMAM surge and Family MUAC approaches in Loima health facilities.
    Enhance quality service delivery for ICCM+SAM&MAM through mentorship or on job trainings to CHAs and CHVs.
    Through advocacy, contribute to continued and sustained treatment of severe and moderate malnutrition at the county by MOH.
    Work with MOH to strengthen Community Health Service delivery and the community – facility linkage.
    Timely submission of field activity reports to supervisor for onward submission.

    Monitoring and Evaluation.

    Delivery of project activities in line with SCI quality bench marks
    At all times, ensure up to date project database for CMAM+ICCM, F-MUAC
    Provide various analysis for nutrition outcomes for CMAM+ICCM and F-MUAC for learning and decision making.
    Document the process of implementation, lessons learnt, case studies and good practice to ensure information is widely disseminated.
    With the support of MEAL team ensure project performance is tracked and quality standards adhered to.
    Collect and manage complaints and feedbacks in close coordination with MEAL team.
    Participate in the design, development and implementation of an M&E framework for health related activities.

    Supervision

    Support regular review meetings with the Sub County Health Management Team and community health assistants.

    Network and coordinate with the relevant sectors and agencies implementing health activities at national and community level.

    Identify areas of synergy in the field with the Ministry of Health and other implementing agencies working with communities. 
    Promote good work relationship with MOH and other partners
    Identify nutrition opportunities for the project

    Implement Community Mobilization Activities.

    Liaise and establish strong links with existing community structures including community units, health committees, village elders and religious leaders and administration.

    Strengthen Community – Health Facility Referral system and Linkage.

    Work with Ministry of Health to strengthen a referral system at community level and implement activities to strengthen the community –facility linkage.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    Essential

    Bachelor’s degree health sciences / health systems (Nutrition, Nursing, Public health) or equivalent.
    At least three years’ work experience in health programming including monitoring and evaluation.
    Experience in community mobilisation within the development context. Experience working with the Kenya Community Health Strategy is an added advantage.
    Good understanding and experience working with MOH and county health departments, health stakeholders, opinion leaders and integration of donor funded programmes into county plans.

    Job Summary:
    This position will provide overall leadership in the technical, budget management, monitoring and reporting activities, relationships with partners (government, local implementing, other NGOs, faith leaders) and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the CTWWC objectives throughout implementation and close-out, in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices. Your project management skills and knowledge of the program area will ensure that the CP delivers high-quality programming and continuously works towards improving the impact of this project. This position also sits on the CTWWC initiative senior management team, with leaders from other countries and the senior leadership team of the initiative. As a global initiative, the Project Director is expected to engage beyond the country borders and to bring strategies and experience from Kenya into regional and global work and vice versa.
    Specific Responsibilities:

    Lead implementation of the initiative ensuring that the project execution is in line with the project’s vision-care reform- and donor-approved work plan, as well as the Government of Kenya National Care Reform Strategy; that project plans are effectively implemented and aligned with CRS agency and country program policies and procedures; set and monitor appropriate performance targets and that project objectives and results are fully accomplished and meet expected technical quality standards.
    Engage the local implementing partners, as appropriate, during key stages in the project cycle to ensure that their insights and experiences inform approaches and interventions and to support program quality.
    Ensure key changes in program direction and focus areas are done in close coordination and consultation with the Department of Children Services (DCS, CRS Kenya Head of Programs, and CTWWC technical and MEAL leadership.
    Ensure the CTWWC Kenya team understands the initiative ethos, principles, vision and strategies of the global initiative and help to make sure programming is implemented at high quality.
    In collaboration with the senior technical advisors and other project staff, provide guidance and technical oversight to six local implementing partners, government entities, and other collaborating agencies and stakeholders to ensure that objectives are achieved.
    Work with the senior MEAL offer to ensure delivery of CTWWC MEAL component, including required donor project narrative reports, quarterly performance data, learning activities and products, advocacy materials, peer reviewed journal articles as well as other reports needed/required by the local government, donors, the region or headquarters. Ensure reporting timelines and donor guidelines are respected.
    Oversee the identification, documentation and dissemination of project learning and results in various forums, including media stories, lessons learned, case studies, etc., and support learning exchanges among the donor community, GoK entities, and other programs both within and outside of Kenya aligned to learning plans and influence strategies. Work closely with the East and Southern Africa Regional Advisor for Advocacy and ILE director to ensure the flow of Kenya demonstration into regional and global influence.
    Forge and manage dynamic partnerships with the GoK, local implementing partners, civil society partners including faith-based organizations and leaders, academic institutions, UN agencies, and the donor community in Kenya and externally. Act as primary program contact to DCS, NCCS, and other local and international stakeholders responsible for addressing all project matters
    Oversee the project’s financial management, as per the project budget, including review and analysis of monthly budget comparison reports, preparation of quarterly forecasts, local partner grant management, and timely submission of annual expenditure analysis reports. Experience managing multi-donor funding streams a plus.
    Provide leadership and strategic direction to initiative fundraising efforts in Kenya, including identifying new strategic directions, donors, and overseeing proposal development.
    Ensure staff and project compliance with all CRS administrative, safeguarding, MEAL, operational, and financial procedures and policies, as well as applicable to the donor regulations.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Participate in the target setting for COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the counties assigend.
    Ensure optimal coordination of COVID-19 vaccination at the county, sub-county, and facility level for an increased vaccination coverage of 9% per month amongst the target population.
    Provide facility level mentorship within the health facilities to effect a 70% increase in COVID-19 vaccination level by embracing a health systems approach to enhancing vaccine uptake.
    Identify missed opportunities for COVID-19 vaccination and design strategies to address these.
    In liaison with the county vaccines coordinator, ensure COVID-19 vaccines commodity management is optimal by ensuring COVID-19 vaccines are collected at the respective regional stores and distributed to the sub-counties and to health facilities on time.

    Ensure that 100% and timely reporting of COVID-19 vaccinated individuals on MoH Chanjo.

    Liase with the county health management teams in assigned counties to, plan for and conduct performance review meetings monthly to assess the county performance against set targets.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. UNEP administers the Nairobi Convention for the Protection, Management and Development of Coastal and Marine Environment of the Western Indian Ocean (WIO), under the Ecosystems Division. The Division works with international and national partners, providing technical assistance and advisory services for the implementation of environmental policy, and strengthening the environmental management capacity of developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
    The Nairobi Convention is executing the GEF funded project on the “Western Indian Ocean Large Marine Ecosystems Strategic Action Programme Policy Harmonisation and Institutional Reforms (SAPPHIRE) in coordination with the participating countries and partners both at national and regional level. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Regional Service Centre for Africa is the implementing agency of the SAPPHIRE project providing oversight in the execution of the project. The main objective of the SAPPHIRE project is to achieve effective long-term ecosystem management in the WIO Large Marine Ecosystems in line with the Strategic Action Programme for sustainable management of the WIO Large Marine Ecosystems as endorsed by the participating countries. The Convention has provided the legal framework for regional cooperation and coordination among WIO countries to address common challenges such as marine pollution, oil spills and the conservation of marine biodiversity.
    Mauritius is prone to oil spills at sea by the fact that it lies along the international shipping lanes which are among the busiest in the world. The demand for oil is expected to remain robust, with an increase in maritime traffic and trade of oil products in the region, thus increasing the risk of oil spill further. In 1990, the first National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (NOSCP) was prepared with the collaboration of UNEP and International Maritime Organization (IMO). The NOSCP has been reviewed severally and tested regularly through drills and desktop exercises. The NOSCP covers the roles, duties and responsibilities of relevant national authorities before, during and after an oil spill. In view of the recent increase in risk of oil spill in the territorial waters of the Republic of Mauritius, the Government has reviewed the current National Oil Spill Contingency Plan which includes the Port Louis Harbour Oil Spill Response Plan, the draft Rodrigues Oil Spill Contingency Plan and the draft Dispersant Policy.

    Objective
    The Nairobi Convention would like to hire a senior consultant in Oil Spills to work with the Convention, the Government of Mauritius, and other key stakeholders to Conduct Public Consultations and Finalise the Updated National Oil Spill Contingency Plan of the Republic of Mauritius. The consultant will facilitate stakeholder consultations workshops to sensitise the population on the updated NOSCP and update the NOSCP based on comments and inputs from the workshops. In executing the consultancy, the consultant will work closely with the Convention team, designated officials of the Government of Mauritius, UNDP Country Offices in Mauritius, National Focal Point of the SAPPHIRE project, and others as deemed appropriate and necessary.
    Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

    Under overall supervision of the Head of the Nairobi Convention Secretariat and direct supervision of the SAPPHIRE Project Coordinator, and in close collaboration with the Government of Mauritius, the consultant will coordinate the overall process of stakeholder consultations to sensitise and receive inputs from the population of Mauritius on the updated National Oil Spill Contingency Plan. The consultant will undertake the following specific tasks: 1. Facilitate consultation meetings (10), on the revised NOSCP, with key stakeholders (ministries, parastatal bodies, private sector including tourism, fisheries amongst others).
    Develop a report documenting the comments, inputs, and perspectives from the participating stakeholders.
    Revise and submit the updated NOSCP by incorporating the comments and inputs from the consultation workshops including recommendation on gaps to be addressed to make the NOSCP fully operational.

    Performance Indicators

    Workshop report(s) capturing the key concerns, inputs, perspectives, and relevant recommendations from the consultation meetings.

    Qualifications/special skills
    Academic Qualifications: 

    First degree is required in Marine Biology/ Sciences (Marine biology and coastal management/Maritime Safety and Environmental Protection/ Maritime Affairs – Maritime Safety & Environmental Administration/ Oceanography and Marine Environmental Management), Marine Engineering, Environmental Sciences or other closely related fields.
    A diploma in the above fields with an additional five years of experience may be accepted in lieu of first degree.

    Experience: 

    Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience is required in the environmental or marine sciences sector, in international setting including in the Western Indian Ocean region.
    Experience with oil spill contingency at sea (plans, methods and technologies) and related national laws, policies, strategies is desired.
    Excellent analytical, advocacy, presentation, writing and communications skills are required;
    Experience in conducting training and capacity building especially working in SIDS is an added advantage.

    Language:
    English and French are the official working languages of the United Nations. For this consultancy, fluency in oral and written knowledge of English is required. Working knowledge of French is an added advantage.

    Marketing module – This should offer comparator capabilities across courses listing, and subscription services, with centralised information platform, including capabilities to purchase material, and receive feedback.
    Recruitment module – The platform should offer wholesome and structured personal and career profiling capabilities, that allows for matching through machine learning in the tech-driven, and transparent talent identification and placement. The module should be able to have professions mapping capabilities, with room for borderless collaborations, mentorship and engagements.
    Ad-hoc training and technical support for the piloting and full scaling of the academy
    Content creation, contextualisation and roll-out for the platform

    Job description

    Working directly under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Technologist shall undertake the following assignments:

    Assist the PhD and MSc Fellows carry out their laboratory diagnosis activities
    Prepare requisitions for the procurement of laboratory supplies and reagents
    Keep an inventory of the laboratory supplies and reagents
    Maintain a database of all the diagnostic tests carried out in the laboratory
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual project reports on the number of diagnostic tests carried out

    Job description
    This position reports to the COP with responsibility for the coordination of implementation of technical, operational and administrative work streams for timely and seamless execution of activities. The role of this post is to provide administrative and secretarial support services to the senior management, including Principal Investigator/Project Lead, the COP and DCOP. The Program Associate is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of senior project offices including management of information and following up on implementation of management
    decisions.
    Duties and Responsibilities

    Provide executive assistance and secretarial support services to senior management,
    ensuring smooth running of the senior management offices and effective processing of information and data
    Provide effective office operations, systems and procedures facilitating team work and the work, collaboration and timely implementation of executive actions
    Manage immediate PI/COP office operations with respect to communications, meetings and work flow; and identify priority issues that need PI/COP attention;
    Establish internal tracking systems and procedures for correspondence and documents; monitor work progress and cases of priority
    Arrange appointments and maintain PI/COP calendar, as well as support communication needs of the PI/COP
    Organize high-level meetings including taking responsibility for finalization of meeting agenda, invitations, production and distribution of documentation, and preparation of minutes of meetings.
    Distribute meeting reports and information; and ensure follow-ups on required actions.
    Organize and facilitate administrative work of the office including establishing internal procedures and tracking systems for correspondence and documents; receive, screen and register correspondence and documents.
    Collect and prepare briefing materials for PI/COP trips and special meetings;
    Undertake travel arrangements for COP/DCOP
    Establish and maintain a records management system containing reference materials and confidential records as required
    Prepare correspondence for the supervisor’s signature
    Establish follow-up systems of actions taken and reports to the PI/COP.

    Minimum requirements
    At a minimum, the PA will have:

    A Bachelor’s degree in either Public Administration, Journalism, Secretarial Studies,Law, Language Studies or related field.
    At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position in a large organization
    Possess superlative communication (written, spoken and electronic) skills

    WFP Regional Bureau for Eastern Africa has one National Engineer within Logistics and Engineering unit. The Engineer supports country offices and is also expected to carry out RBN specific tasks such as conducting oversights, guiding, and advising country offices, and reporting on projects as well as emergency preparedness.
    We are seeking to fill the position of Architectural Intern based in the Logistics and Engineering Unit  Unit of the Regional Bureau, Nairobi.
    STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Currently enrolled in the university and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies; currently enrolled in a graduate programme (Master’s degree) from a recognized university; or have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme within the last 6 months, preferably in Architecture (AAK and BORAQS accredited degree in Architecture)
    Currently enrolled in a graduate programme (Master’s degree) from a recognized university, undertaking the programme mentioned above, and have attended classes in the past 12 months,
    Fluent in English (both oral and written) is a must; knowledge of a second UN language, preferably French, would be an asset.
    Training and/or experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet, and other software packages. Proficiency in Excel and fair knowledge of pivot tables. Office 365 proficiency an added advantage
    Experience in use of software such as AutoCAD/ArchiCAD or REVIT is required.

    Assist to Improve designs of most common small structures in Country offices.
    Explore and assist with generating timely and creative solutions for design tasks within the functional parameters of a project, translating concepts and information into images.
