Job description
This Developer’s role will deal specifically with Oracle E-Business Suite and its related technologies and applications. A successful candidate must be proficient in developing, report creation, analysis and supporting enhancements to Oracle applications and their related integrations.A successful candidate should be able to work with functional business analysts, business process owners and other technical team members for a given requirement or process. Further, the candidate should be capable of executing requirement and design specification into development deliverables.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements documents and scenarios for each Reporting, Integration, Customization, Extension object
Map technical processes, design layouts, validate functional specifications and create technical solution documents to address business needs for Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Extensions and Workflows.
Perform customization and personalization of Oracle applications reports, interfaces, extensions and workflows to conform to business requirements.
Ensure high quality of software developed, meets schedule and satisfies detailed in

Functional Specifications

Assists in troubleshooting issues and perform bug fixes.
Develop Oracle applications interfacing and integration while maintain documentation.
Create test plans, test data sets and perform testing to ensure all components of the developed systems meet specifications
Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents, identify and implement optimal solutions, formalize test plans and implement troubleshooting procedures
Perform data modeling to analyze and specify data structures.
Support new and existing application development by creating modifications and enhancements
Support the execution of System Integration Tests (SITs) and the User Acceptance Test (UATs).
Adhere to the strong IT Governance and change control process for all system changes.
Execute system configuration for Finance, HCM, iProcurement and Oracle Purchasing modules of Oracle EBS as needed for any projects and enhancements
Design and develop integrations with other systems using SOA, ADF and Java
BSc in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information science, Information Management, or Computer Science.
2+ years Programming using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle EBS R12, Oracle Application Framework, forms, reports, interfaces, customization, Shell scripting, Extensions and Workflows
2+ years Oracle application development experience with various technical tools among core Oracle databases tools, OA Framework, Oracle forms/Reports.
Experience in configuration and setups for AOL module
Well versed with the underlying database architecture, table structures and master data for key EBS modules
2+ years of experience in software applications (preferred)
Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies
Demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of implementation documents
Experience in developing integrations using SOA middleware, Java and XML
Exposure to tools like JDeveloper and Eclipse will be a plus
Certification in Oracle Technologies (OCA, DBA), .NET Framework. (added advantage)
Experience in integrating Oracle Applications with various formats including flat-file (CSV), XML, and SOAP/REST.
Detailed technical knowledge of Oracle Finance, HCM, iProcurement and Oracle Purchasing.

Project Accountant Enterprise Manager

Location: Napetet – Turkana County
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funds
Reports to: Enterprise Manager
The Accountant to be based in Napetet and working within the framework of Nasanyanait irrigation project, the incumbent will have to be responsible for the following as his/her primary duties:
Accounting Role

Being in charge of preparing and keeping cashbooks/journals and developing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Receiving and filing project correspondence/documents (especially financial correspondence/documents) and circulating them – if so required – only to board and Donor/Partner staff as required.
Assist in logistical and procurement activities as required
Facilitating, supporting and assisting in all internal control mechanisms and audit-related activities.
Facilitating, supporting and assisting in processing project-related payments.
Ensuring proper documentation of enterprise-related activities.
Ensuring proper filing of all project related documentation with necessary back ups
Handling and management of petty cash
Calculating and submitting local tax returns and other statutory payments in a timely manner
Maintaining the payroll based on approved time sheets and other Project requirements
Completing Bank reconciliations and documenting all financial transactions

The Person Shall Have:

Demonstrate dedication and commitment to support Nasanyanait realization of organizational goals
Degree or diploma in Business Administration, commerce, Accounting, Economics or other finance-related diploma or at least holder CPA 2
At least 2 years’ related work experience in management of commercial enterprise.
Must have practiced accounting/finance and business development
Good understanding of accounting principles and reporting skills
Good written and oral command of English
Good knowledge of IT skills especially MS Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and Database management; Email and Internet
Ability to work under pressure and to follow strict deadlines
Strong business development and portfolio growth skills and experience

Key Responsibilities
Field Officers will be responsible for:

Identifying, assessment and facilitating the recruitment processes for Youth entrepreneurs, senior community members and Government Officers to participate in the project activities.
Delivering entrepreneurs trainings and organizing additional growth trainings tailored to the needs of youth entrepreneurs based on needs identified during regular evaluation of youth business models.
Coordinate the collection and timely submission of data collected from Youth entrepreneurial activities, capacity building activities for Youth, Economic strengthening activities targeting selected senior community members and Government Officers involved in Youth livelihood initiatives in the project areas.

Requirements

A minimum of a Diploma, preferably in Entrepreneurship/Community Development work with at least three (3) years’ demonstrated experience in the community based projects particularly those targeting youth and other vulnerable Community members in implementing and training business skills / entrepreneurship / saving groups

Plant Scientist

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Plant Scientist to manage our plant management and horticulture in Naivasha, Kenya.
This role is a key part of our Kenya operations and plant science teams, focussed on maintaining smooth, problem free execution of DryGro’s aquatic plant cultures in field trials and experimentation.
This position will be based in Naivasha Kenya and will involve a fair amount of field work.
Job Responsibilities

Managing plant health and productivity during field trials
Collecting data from experiments and trials to gain insights
Coordinating with our Plant Science and Operations teams in the implementation of new plant-related technologies into new and existing sites
Keeping up to date on research in related fields
Collecting data through experimentation and existing operations
Maintain clean, organized experiments
Ensure that all sterilization and containment protocols are adhered to
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and inform the rest of the team
Producing reports on progress, experiment status, and issues regularly

Requirements
Beyond having excellent work ethic and a naturally team-oriented mentality, successful candidates will need initiative, rigour in their process, and a drive towardoutstanding execution.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science or equivalent
1 year minimum professional horticultural experience
Prior hands-on experience with horticulture and laboratory experimentation with plants
Strong grasp of plant science fundamentals, including genetics, molecular biology, and horticulture
High attention to detail and drive for excellence in quality
Ability to manage granular experimentation, but also view big-picture objectives
Based in Kenya, able to work daily from Naivasha or other field trials
