    Our Client in the ICT industry is currently looking to hire a Business Development Officer.

    The Business Development Executive is directly responsible to the Business Development Manager Retail Services.
    Job Responsibilities
    Recruitment of New Business

    Identify and contact businesses not currently working within the companys’ Network of Retailers
    Make contact and sales; by telephoning, meeting or attending relevant exhibitions and events in order to make contact with potential clients
    Deal with incoming queries effectively and provide responses within 24 hours.
     Prepare and plan day in order to make efficient use of sales time.
    Achieve daily Minimum Performance Criteria

    Retention of Current Clients

    Up sale all existing Company products to existing clients
    Make regular contact with current clients to ensure the development and maintenance of a strong relationship and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to these clients.
    Where and when appropriate, to meet with clients to build the relationship and understanding of their business needs.

    Departmental Support

    Assist and support the management and activation of sales contracts as and when necessary.
    Understand the company products and how they can support external customers.

    Administration

    Meet regularly with Clients to build positive and productive relationships with them
    Assist BDM with sourcing and distribution of leads
    Ensure personal cancellations are dealt with and overturned in a timely and professional manner
    Ensure that all sales activity is recorded and that this record is kept up to date with contacts.
    Represent the company at any conferences, meetings and events as appropriate.
    Receive and deal with enquiries on a priority basis.
    Follow up on general enquiries.
    Enter all relevant information on the database
    Telesales of existing and new enquiries.
    When required assist with direct marketing to existing and prospective clients.

    Referrals for all programmes.

    BDE appointments on a nationwide basis
    Recording of agreements in/out, adding all new sites onto membership database.

    Other

    Adherence to company policies.
    Knowledge of the content of the staff handbook.
    Maintenance of a tidy & organised workstation.

    Special Requirements

    Adhere to company protocol as laid out in the Company Handbook.
    Attend major company conventions as appropriate

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Driving the assigned vehicles, carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling oil,electrical,tyre pressure and break systems, etc.
    Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles systems, maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned.
    Ensuring security of the vehicles on and off the road.
    Overseeing safety of the passengers and or goods.
    Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles.

    Job Requirements

    Be a Kenyan citizen.
    Pass suitability test for driver grade III.
    A valid driving license free from any current endorsement for classes of vehicles the officer is required to drive.
    Passed practical test for drivers conducted by the recruiting authority.
    Must have a certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police.
    At least 2 years driving experience.
    Attend a First Aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John’s Ambulance or Kenya Highway & Building Technology (KHBT) or any other recognized institution.

    Job Details
    To be based in different locations Kenya-wide: Bungoma / Kakamega / Bomet and others.
    Some of the Key Specific Duties include:

    Installing, servicing and replacing GPS tracking devices on Company Assets (bikes, tuktuks, cars, etc.);
    Maintaining proper information logs and submitting to assigned supervisor all with GPS tracking device installation connected information – vehicle’s chassis number, plate number, make, model, color, trackers IMEI number, SIM card number, installation date and place. Other information may be requested at any time.
    Contacting client and organizing trackers’ service and/or replacement for the vehicles whose trackers are malfunctioning;
    Delivering the highest level professional service to the Company clients while keeping tracker’s installation and service information strictly confidential;
    Reporting all company related expenses (transport, installation related expenses) in accurate manner.
    Carry out other tasks as requested by the company management.

    Requirements:

    Previous experience installing/handling GPS tracking devices in a similar role
    Unquestioned integrity
    Highest degree of dependability and commitment
    Good IT literacy
    Fluent English and Kswahili in verbal and writing
    License and ability to ride a motorbike will be considered as advantage

    Salary: Ksh 22k Gross/month during probationary period, Ksh 26k after.
