    Job Description
    The incumbent will report directly to the Research Administrator. The incumbent will be responsible for mapping and collecting timely accurate data in assigned areas, identifying, planning, and providing community health promotion and education to different populations in the communities. S/he must be flexible to work within the existing structures in a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability, and integrity.
    Essential Requirements:

    Secondary Education with a minimum grade of D+
    Ability to communicate in Good English, Swahili and Dholuo, both spoken and written
    GCP certificate
    Ability to ride a motorcycle and in possession of a valid driving license endorsed for the specific class.
    Knowledge of MS office computer packages (word, excel and PowerPoint) and ability to work with smart phones.

    Specific Tasks and Responsibilities.
    The Community Interviewers’ responsibilities shall include and not be limited to the following:

    Mapping, recruitment, and consenting pharmacy outlets
    Distributing data tools to the consented pharmacy outlets
    Ensuring accurate entry and completion of data
    Timely submission of verified and completed data
    Training and retraining of enrolled pharmacy and drug outlets on data entry and data tools
    Attend study field meetings and report on progress of work.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Efficient utilization of funds and other Public resources placed at their disposal as they shall be the authorized officers in respect of exercise of delegated powers; and 
    Giving effect to lawful directives of County Executive Committee Members and keeping them informed of all important activities and events; 
    The administration of the County department
    Formulation and implementation of effective programs to attain vision 2030 and sector goals.
    Development and implementation of County’s strategic and Integrated Development Plans and sector development plans
    Implementation of policies, regulations and laws
    Providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery
    Promotion of National Values and Principles as well as ensuring compliance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya.
    Determine, manage and develop the department’s workforce including execution of performance contracts and appraisal of staff
    Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements for Appointment
    Be a Kenyan citizen.

    Have a relevant Bachelor’s degree in the portfolio applied for.
    Possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
    Have vast knowledge and experience of not less than 10 years in the relevant field, five of which should be in a managerial position
    Be conversant with the Constitution of Kenya and all the devolution laws
    Demonstrate thorough understanding of county development objectives and vision 2030
    Be a strategic thinker and results oriented
    Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    Have capacity to work under pressure to meet timelines

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities and Roles
    The University Chaplain shall be responsible overseeing all religious activities within the Institution for both staff and students. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the University Chaplain shall be responsible for the following:

    Coordinate religious linkages both locally and globally through affiliations in order to get speakers and mentorship to students.
    Oversee religious activities in order to provide spiritual nourishment by preparing the religious calendar of events that will be implemented by the institution.
    Prepare activities to be carried out by religious groups in liaison with religious leaders and pastors to facilitate the meeting of set objectives for a given academic year.
    Oversee and asses the activities of peer educators to ensure they stick to the core purpose of the group
    Coordinate work study programs by advertising, vetting, allocation and processing of payments to enable needy student meet their financial needs.
    Organize for mentorship programs to enable students deal with spiritual, academic and financial needs.
    Organize for joint services to enhance spiritual cohesiveness by bringing various different groups together.
    Organize outreach programs with various religious groups to help meet the needs of the community around
    Provide spiritual guidance and support to students and staff through pastoral counselling to help them deal with issues affecting the spiritual growth.
    Ensure activeness of the Institution’s choir by recruiting new members, drawing up the choir’s budget and securing fund for their uniforms.
    Perform religious duties such as presiding over baptism, sacraments, weddings and funerals to meet the spiritual needs of the Institution’s community.
    Attend relevant trainings in matters relating to chaplaincy to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    Conduct orientations to new students to sensitize them on various chaplaincy activities.
    Liaise with the wardens to address spiritual issues in the halls of residence
    Organize for external speakers that address emerging issues in both the religious and social circles through public lectures.
    Carry out counselling services to both the students and staff to assist them in coping up with issues affecting various aspects of their lives.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    Holder of an earned PhD degree in Theology or Islamic Studies or related field from a university.
    Gazetted or approved to discharge ordinances with at least 5 years’ experience in coordinating religious activities and working with university/college students or youths.
    Demonstrate outstanding leadership, coordination and organizational capabilities.
    Prior teaching in a university will be an added advantage.
    Must be a person of high integrity and unquestionable character.
    Must possess good interpersonal, communication skills, effective listening skills and ability to work independently is most desirable.
    Proven problem solving and organizational skills, flexibility and calm under pressure.

    Profile

    Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    Senior relevant experience. A background in e-commerce, logistics or distribution is a must.
    Analytical mind.
    Good stakeholder management, planning and organizational skills.
    A strong business sense and commercial insight.
    A constructive challenger who can easily cooperate with other departments.
    Work independently and with the Management Team, take responsibility and set priorities.
    Communicate fluently in Dutch and English. German is a plus.

    About the role:
    BURN is looking for self-driven, aggressive, resourceful, and persistent Distribution interns (30) – in Siaya who will be able to identify growth opportunities and handle a full sales cycle from prospecting new retailers closing a sale and payments.
     Duties and Responsibilities

    Aggressive recruitment of new retailers.
    Meeting sales targets.
    Collecting and documenting market intelligence.
    Managing wholesalers – ensuring optimal stocks are maintained.
    Developing effective strategies to increase sales volumes
    Building awareness about the product and educating the customer on product usage and NPDs.
    Reporting on all sales activities; daily, weekly, and monthly.
    Reporting on market dynamics and category or industry activities.
    Managing relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction through regular contacts and prompt resolution of issues.

    Education and Experience

    Diploma in sales and marketing or equivalent.
    Performance-oriented, decisive, and independent.
    Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
    Strong negotiations skills.
    A strategic and innovative thinker.
    Team working and ability to network effectively.
