    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Consultation: Engage with prospective clients via phone, email, or in-person meetings to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budgetary constraints. Listen to their needs and provide suitable travel options and recommendations.
    Customized Itinerary Planning: Utilize your extensive knowledge of popular tourist destinations, local attractions, and travel trends to design tailor-made itineraries that match clients’ interests and preferences.
    Accommodation and Transportation Booking: Research and book appropriate accommodations, flights, transportation, and other travel-related services, ensuring smooth logistics throughout the trip.
    Destination Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest travel trends, events, and attractions at various destinations to offer insightful information and insider tips to clients.
    Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates for tour packages and ensure that the proposed trips align with the clients’ budget and expectations.
    Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clients’ queries, concerns, and changes to their itineraries promptly and professionally.
    Collaboration: Coordinate with suppliers, hotels, airlines, and other travel partners to secure bookings and negotiate competitive rates on behalf of the clients.
    Sales and Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting tour packages and additional services to clients.
    Documentation and Travel Logistics: Handle necessary travel documentation, visa processing, and other administrative tasks related to travel arrangements.
    Post-Trip Feedback: Collect feedback from clients after their trips, analyze their experiences, and use insights to continuously improve and enhance tour packages.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related fields preferred.
    Proven 5+ years experience as a Tour Consultant handling both inbound and outbound travel, or a similar role in the travel industry.
    In-depth knowledge of various travel destinations, cultures, and attractions for both inbound and outbound.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to understand and meet client preferences.
    Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple itineraries and bookings simultaneously.
    Proficient in using Microsoft excel and word, travel booking platforms, and reservation systems.
    Sales-oriented with the ability to upsell additional services and tour packages.
    Attention to detail and a customer-focused approach to ensure client satisfaction.
    Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during travel.
    Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
    Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

    Our Client, a leading Tours & Travel Company seeks to recruit an Invoicing Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring that all company revenue is captured and the invoices are raised up on time to facilitate closing of the month on time and generation of Debtors statement.

     Responsibilities

    To raise invoices on daily basis and ensure that all company sales are accounted
    To ensure that all invoices are raised, processed and dispatched as per client set standard
    To ensure that the processed refunds and credit notes are duly authorized.
    To ensure that accountable documents are properly filed.
    To generate daily sales report and submit to immediate supervisor on a daily basis.
    Ensure an exception list is circulated on daily basis to the relevant offices.
    Ensure an exception list is generated for Non-BSP airline sales with reference to sales reports from the TC
    To maintain and give reports of exception list for transfers using daily transfer schedule.
    To monitor and give report of the transfer exception list.
    To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time

    Professional/Academic Background

    Bachelor’s  degree in Finance or any related field
    Minimum C+ KCSE
    Certified Public Accounting with at least (CPA) part III.
    A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar position. Experience in a busy travel agency office will be an added advantage

    Skills

    Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    Have the ability to work independently as well as a team.
    Attention to detail and highly numerical
    Effective multi-tasking skills, with ability to co-ordinate, priorities and organize workload and meet deadlines.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Research and develop unique itineraries that will suit both the local and international clientele and identify emerging opportunities in the travel industry
    Create relationships with Tour operator/partners such as hotels, airlines, travel agencies (local & international), corporates and secure contract rates in the industry through various contract negotiations
    Ability to develop with competitive costings for different customized packages for clients in a quick manner to close leads
    Continuously explore and identify new business opportunities (retail & corporate tour and travel bookings) to grow the business
    Responsible for coordinating tour operations with the various parties such as hotels, drivers and other partners to deliver client expectations
    Track customer experience and ensure customer satisfaction in every itinerary that is sold by Cytravel Africa
    Develop daily, weekly and monthly travel reports as required by the business
    Responsible for growing followers on social media platforms, regularly updating the Cytravel Africa website to attract new leads to the business
    Track all leads generated; responding to them on calls, emails to achieve sales targets and managing clients’ accounts
    Develop monthly Cytravel Africa Travel bulletin, blogpage; and become a leader in travel vlogging
    Identify opportunities to market Cytravel Africa such as Travel Expos and Travel fairs
    Will be expected to have thorough knowledge of the East African tourism product & designing of international itineraries and costing; while doing competitor research
    Responsible to keeping the Cytravel Africa compliant with regulations requirement such as TRA licensing; and set up the required systems for travel management
    Research on travel bodies Cytravel Africa should join as a member and for travel ratings
    Any other duties assigned to you

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree or diploma in tourism/tours & travel management;
    At least 2 years travel management experience; (experience in liaising with international travel agents/partners will be an added advantage)
    Diploma in IATA ( IATA certified) with a minimum of 6 months of experience in tickets booking
    Experience in using tour reservations systems and flight booking systems e.g. Amadeus
    Good interpersonal and communication skills, both writing and verbal, with keen attention to detail
    Must be reliable and able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure to meet deliverables
    Excellent planning and organizational skills and a team player
    Required to have good knowledge of digital marketing, networking and prospecting skills

    This post is located in the Nairobi duty station, the Travel, Shipping & Visa Unit (TSVU) within Central Support Services of the Division of Administrative Services, UNON. The incumbent reports to the supervisor of the TSVU unit. Within delegated authority, the Travel Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
    Responsibilities

    Provides information to staff members and delegations on entitlements, policy and procedures on official travel, removal of personal effects arrangements in accordance with governing rules and regulations.
    Review travel and shipment requests in Umoja to ensure conformity with applicable rules.
    Calculates airfares and constructs itineraries for staff and dependents, delegations and non-staff (consultants, meeting participants and contractors) traveling on official business in line with the most economical and direct route.
    Liaises with contracted travel agency on complex itineraries and issuance of tickets.
    Approves travel and shipment authorizations including amendments.
    Calculates and records lump-sum entitlements.
    Request and record refunds in Umoja.
    Perform partial and complete cancellation of Travel Requests in Umoja, if applicable.
    Process expense reports that are routed to travel unit in accordance with rules and regulations.
    Co-ordinates arrangements for removal of personal effects for staff members worldwide including registering shipments and insurance coverage, insurance claims and reviewing invoices.
    Provides Umoja support on travel related issues to staff members.
    Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
    Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
    Performs ad-hoc duties as required.

    Work Experience

    A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in travel administration, travel rate construction, routing, and travel reimbursement, or related area is required.
    Working experience in the ERP System, Systems Applications and Products(SAP) is required.
    Three (3) years of working experience in the UN system or similar international organization is desirable.
    Experience arranging travel for large group of meeting participants is desirable.
    1 year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
