    Duties and Responsibilities
    An officer at this level will work under supervision of a Senior Pharmacist. Duties and responsibilities will include: screening prescriptions for legal validity, drug contradictions, drug interactions, appropriateness of dose, frequency and duration of dosing and patience convenience; preparing and dispensing medicines according to Good Dispensing Practices and counseling patients on medicine use; making extemporaneous preparations; participating in ward rounds;
    identifying medicinal gaps and challenges; maintaining daily activity log book for recording all activities undertaken; recommending Over the County (OTC) medicines to patients/clients with simple medical conditions and making necessary referrals; making entries into the relevant inventory management records and registers.

    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    Bachelors of Pharmacy Degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    Successfully completed One (1) year internship from a recognized institution.
    Registration Certificate by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board;
    Certificate in Computer Application Skills.
    Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

    Job Summary
    The position holder in liaison with the Facility in charge is responsible for ensuring that the hospital has drugs at all times. They are required to maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs in the pharmacy.
    Key Responsibilities

    Order and receive drugs and other medical supplies on behalf of the hospital and always maintain inventory of medical supplies and monitor their flow. Also assist in the drug and consumables supply chain management to ensure that essential drugs are available in the pharmacy at all times.
    Co-ordinate and liaise with clinicians and other health care providers in ensuring rational use of drugs and other medical consumables.
    Maintain records and filling prescriptions and always maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Accurately and efficiently preparing prescription orders by verifying prescription information and dosage.
    Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
    Maintain accurate inventory of medications
    Offer information to assist patients in understanding how to properly take their prescribed medications

    Qualification & Competencies Required

    Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
    Valid and up to date registration license by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    Proven over two years working experience in a similar role from a reputable and busy environment.

    Key Roles
    Promote company products to health care service providers
    Arrange on the effective distribution of marketing materials
    Maintain and update customer databases
    Calling on doctors to promote discuss, remind and sample pharmaceutical brands of the company the assigned territory.
    Meeting specified number of doctors by working in a pre-planned territory that is decided with the help of a monthly planner.
    Meeting retail chemists to make sure that the company’s brand is easily available.
    Submission of daily reports giving details of days   of names of doctors, retailers and distributors.
    Achieving assigned targets for every brand of the company.
    Attend weekly, monthly, or quarterly sales review meetings to discuss targets verses achievements, and future sales planning.
    Qualifications
    Diploma in Pharmacy or any other related course
    Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical products
    At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in selling local pharmaceutical products and retail pharmacy
    Should have good presentation skills
    Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
    Should be able to deal with a wide range of customers

    Job Description
    Reporting to the In-Charge Pharmacy, the position holder’s job purpose will be to deliver efficient and timely Pharmacy services.
    Responsibilities

    Scrutinizes Patient Treatment Sheets and Prescriptions for suitability of prescribed drugs in relation to dosing accuracy, drug interaction and route of administration Provide drug information to patients, doctors, nurses and other medical staff.
    Timely and accurate posting dispensed drugs for billing purposes.
    Assist the Pharmacy in-charge in placing orders for stock replenishment to the Pharmacy Store to maintain optimal stock levels
    Participates in regular drug expiry monitoring in the pharmacy to identify and document items with expiry of less than the required.
    Compounding, re-packaging and dilutions of drugs according to laid down guidelines.
    Counsel patients appropriately to ensure adherence to drug therapy.
    Participate in stock take exercise and ensure timely explanation of stock variances.
    Training and supervising pharmaceutical technologist interns.
    Entering prescriptions orders into the computer and making labels appropriately
    Assist in preparing and sending periodic management reports.
    Document adverse drug reactions on patients.
    Participate in internal and external audits
    Receiving drugs and verifying against the Stock transfer printout
    Shelving of items appropriately
    Performing stock counts and stock movement analysis

    Qualifications

    Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
    Current and up to date registration with the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board

    Job Summary: Responsible for enforcing quality assurance processes/procedures in relation to quality risk management (QRM), SMF (Site Master File), quality management (QM), standard operating procedures (SOPs), change control, deviation, temperature mapping, product quality review (PQR), corrective and preventative action (CAPA)
    Also responsible for providing leadership, training to the team to foster a culture of compliance to all set standards of quality, especially WHO GMP standards.
    Key Responsibilities:

    To prepare Quality Assurance section Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    Responsible for effective implementation of the process and documentation of change control and deviation management.
    Coordinate quality activities such as temperature mapping study in temperature controlled storage areas.
    To draft and update the site master file and quality manual.
    Oversee preparation of Product Quality Review (PQR) for all products in a timely manner and see to it that necessary corrective and preventative action (CAPA) is initiated as per the results of the PQR.
    Monitor CAPA for its timely completion.
    Provide support to the Head of QA during site inspections conducted by external parties.
    Take the lead in carrying out quality risk management (QRM)
    Coordinate with the Human Resource Department to ensure that the team has up to date and documented job descriptions and organograms at any one time.
    In concert with the HR department, ensure that medical examinations are carried out for all production staff in contact with raw materials and Work in Progress (WIP) during the production process.
    Enhance awareness to cGMP through participating in self-inspections and training.
    To adhere and comply to; all cGMP and GDocP records/data standards, ALCOA principles, and the company code of conduct for data integrity
    Continuously seek opportunities and suggest ways to improve the quality management systems.
    Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
