The Pharmacy Sales Rep will act as the key link between our company and healthcare professionals and will aim at meeting sales targets. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep, your goal is to increase the visibility and awareness of our company’s pharmaceutical and medical products and maximize sales growth.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Target new customers, as well as develop long-term relationships with existing ones
    Assist in debt collection from clients
    Liaise with and persuade targeted pharmacies to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis
    Provide product information and deliver product samples.
    Develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
    Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage.
    Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback.
    Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up-to-date with latest medical data
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers across multiple settings
    Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
    Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
    Studying each of our drugs to ensure expert knowledge thereof.
    Selling items to medical professionals, hospitals, and pharmacies based on their needs.
    Conducting regular self-evaluations to ensure that you always meet sales targets.
    Keep detailed records of all contacts

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in business, marketing, or related field.
    Degree/ Diploma in Pharmacy is an added advantage
    Excellent organizational and time management skills
    Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
    Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
    Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
    Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
    Ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

    Role Purpose

    Main Accountabilities

    Create and implement business plans for key distributors, retailers, HCPs and Key opinion leaders in the industry.
    Present, sell, educate company products and educate HCPS on products and category / product information to existing and potential customers and Communicate and Steer any Trade Schemes developed.
    Identify and manage customer issues through regular sales calls and follow-up.
    Achieve annual Net Sales, IMS and Productivity Targets for defined customers.
    Prepare/ present the Distributor annual/Quarterly plan in line with Agreed Company Targets.
    Execute promotions in line with Trade support Plan.

    Sign up pharmacies in your sales territory to use the Maisha Meds system. This will include client identification, sales pitch and closing activities. Training will be made available to help those sales and marketing agents selected effectively perform these activities.
    Sending regular updates to supervisor by submitting activity and results reports, through daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly activity reports on completed tasks in the respective territory.
    Qualifications for the Sales & Marketing Kenyan Jobs 
    The applicant should have 1-2 years of sales experience in closing sales.
    The applicant should have a high degree of professionalism; integrity; strong organization and attention to detail; sales planning; presentation skills; a high energy level and experience meeting sales goals. The applicant should also be able to work independently.
    Prior experience in selling a technical or high value product such as technology is preferred.
    A strong academic record is not essential but preferred. Somebody who is a quick learner of new information and skills is more valuable for this role.
    Possession of a smartphone or a tablet will be an added advantage.
    Prior experience in either pharmacy or a biological or medical science is preferred.
    Strong communication skills are an essential component of this role including written and spoken Kiswahili and English.

    Targets
    The Marketing Consultant is required to bring in a minimum of 8 chemists per month.
    Remuneration and Benefits
    The period of engagement will be a three month probationary period but Maisha Meds reserves the right to terminate employment sooner in the event of underperforming sales targets.
    The salary package for this role is entirely commission based with the exception of travel costs.
    For every chemist acquired within the monthly target of 8, the marketing consultant will be entitled to 3,000 KES.
    For every addition chemist above the monthly target .i.e. above 8, the consultant will be entitled to a bonus of 1,000 KES adding up to a total of 4,000 KES per additional chemist.
    If the Marketing Consultant brings zero clients at the end of the month, the contract will be terminated.
    The Sales and marketing agent will be entitled to a total sum of 10,000 KES that will cover for travel and lunch expenses. This amount shall be paid at agreed upon intervals and amounts within a month
