Develop an annual nutrition sector work plan in Daadab
Supervise and coordinate the implementation and monitoring of nutrition project activities in line with proposal targets and work plan timelines
Conduct nutritional surveillance in the camp based on agreed camp wide methodologies including surveys, process monitoring, SMART, LQAS, SQUEAC and other rapid methods.
Coordinate with other IRC departments and implementing partners to develop training curricula and implementation plans.
Assist in response and management of any nutrition emergencies e.g. acute food shortages in the camp and participate in the development of disaster preparedness systems.

Supervise and monitor the hospital patient’s diet including the special diets for chronic diseases.

Human resource Monitoring and supervising both national and refugee staff to ensure work is performed efficiently

Oversee continuous training programs for the nutrition staff as well as organizing trainings with consultants as per the annual work-plan & budget
Review personnel issues and concerns of nutrition staff and assist with determining and implementing solutions

Foster integration of the nutrition program with other health sector programs within IRC Daadab.

Required Experience & Competencies
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management and/or in relevant areas of maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care at program management level is required
Experience in designing and implementing nutrition surveys and other methodologies,
Knowledge in computer statistical packages such as SMART and basic data analysis skills.
Experience in managing a nutrition program in emergencies or among refugee/ displaced populations an advantage.
Working in resource poor environment and complex emergencies
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment and the capacity to think and plan strategically, including the ability to produce high quality programs through development implementation.

Writing and general communications
Cultivate stories and draft content for various RefugePoint publications, including newsletters, grant proposals, and special reports.
The Communications Associate will be responsible for producing content from start to finish: from setting up interviews with other RefugePoint team members and clients, traveling into the field on a weekly basis, developing interview questions, interviewing clients to collect stories, writing final stories using quotes/audio/notes taken and submitting finalized work, with photos (sometimes video) to the Communications Manager.

Event Management and Training
Assist with coordinating RefugePoint events in Nairobi, including trainings, conferences, community working groups, and fundraising forums.

Qualifications for the Communications Officer Job

Workshop Assistant
Scope of Work
The Rapporteur/Workshop Assistant is required to familiarize him/herself with SOS and its scope of work, forum materials produced prior to the forum, forum venue as well as SOS staff. S/he will be involved in all phases of the forum – prior, during and after. S/he will;
Support the forum organizers prior and during the forum with any logistical support required;
Take notes on the main discussions, questions, remarks, conclusions and recommendations of each session;
Take notes of matters arising from each session that need follow-up during the subsequent sessions/days of the forum;

Responsibilities for the Advocacy Manager
The job holder will be responsible of ensuring IHAA partners contribution to the PITCH overall programme of work in country is well communicated to AF/SAN the Country Focal Point, work in close collaboration with the Alliance Secretariat and provides a link between IHAA national partners and PITCH team members in the UK and facilitates thematic and political discussions among partners and shares intelligence about policies and situational changes in the country.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
Lead the needs assessments and baseline surveys/data collection process prior to IRS campaigns.
Lead establishment of routine M&E systems to support tracking of IRS program activities, progress, and performance.
Improve programmatic monitoring efforts through managing the data collection of routine spray activities from county-based spray teams and reporting the data for internal and client use.
Design, review and test M&E tools for reporting formats and data collection.
Ensure appropriate skills are maintained with the national and county IRS staff through focused trainings for continued maintenance of the established M&E tracking systems.

To identify evidence and stories of social change towards ending FGM, particularly from the grassroots level and from member organisations, to share with the core team for amplification at different levels.
To support the establishment and development of partnerships across different stakeholders including media, local funders, INGOs to leverage resources for ending FGM in Kenya .
To support the collection, interpretation and reporting of programme monitoring and evaluation data from Kenya, and the promotion of learning from across
The Girl Generation and its partners.
Programme Officer Job Qualifications
Knowledge of Female Genital Mutilation including in the context of Kenya
Understanding of behaviour change or social change communications
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience of meeting and events planning and management
Good verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong networks among campaigners, organisations and government bodies working to end FGM.
Networks with media contacts/partners in Kenya
Understanding of monitoring and evaluation, data collection and reporting
Fluency in English language skills, other local language desirable
Ability to work with remote teams and with high sensitivity to cultural and social diversity
A commitment to The Girl Generation’s founding principles, including the Do No Harm guidelines.
Understanding of, and personal commitment to international human rights, particularly women’s and children’s rights.
Willing and able to travel internationally
