Deputy Chief of Party, East Africa Trade and Investment Hub (EATIH)
Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
The DCOP will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Provide leadership and day-to-day management of efforts to integrate cross-cutting activities (robust knowledge management (KM) and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices, gender integration, and effective outreach and communications) into all technical activities;
With guidance from the COP work with the project’s team to ensure an integrated approach in producing deliverables as outlined in the Work Plan and Rolling Milestones and Deliverables document;
Oversee the Hub’s activities within the EAC member countries, including engagement with project stakeholders, including:national government staff, business and trade associations, and other private sector partners;
Provide input and oversight in the quality delivery of country-level initiatives and activities, including trade shows/fairs, forums, and other high-visibility events;
Coordinate integration of all components to achieve optimal results and impact;
Recommend to the Chief of Party additional methods of identifying and assessing program impact;

Regional Executive Support Officer
Job Summary: The Regional Executive Support Officer position exists to maximize the effective and efficient operation of the Regional Management Team’s ( RMT) areas of responsibility by providing professional administrative support and facilitating necessary action.
The Regional Executive Support Officer is charged with coordinating and managing the activities of the Regional Director (RD).
These activities include preparing written and verbal communication; coordinating meetings, calendar and travel arrangements; drafting correspondence, reports and summaries.
The Regional Executive Support Officer will handle special projects as needed on the Regional Director’s behalf, be able to represent the RD at selected meetings and organize RMT events.
A key responsibility will be to serve as liaison between RMT staff, Country Offices, external constituencies, CARE International members and to manage information flow between them.

Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Support /Office Management Assistance to the RD
Drafting and managing correspondence, managing phone calls.

Major Functions: The post holder will advise and support WWF Africa Offices develop and implement their resource mobilisation strategy , with a focus on developing strategic public and private sector partnerships with global and regional companies and institutional donors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Profile
Required Qualifications:

National Programme Policy Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Head of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and overall supervision of the Senior Programme Policy Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks:
Support planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities on effectiveness of all food assistance intervention;
Review/give technical feedback on monitoring and evaluation plans for new programmes and budget revisions to ensure that plans are risk-based and focus on measuring results;
Contribute to the analysis of outcome data and recommend improvements to programme interventions and to enhance WFPs ability to demonstrate outcome focused results;
Produce frequent monitoring and evaluation progress reports with status of resultsand implementation of improvements;

Minimum Qualifications:

Cultural Orientation Field Team Leader
Primary Purpose
This position is primarily responsible for daily oversight of Resettlement Support Center (RSC) Cultural Orientation (CO) circuit rides, in accordance with US Refugee Admission Program (USRP) guidelines and RSC Africa CO standard operating procedures. This position also provides cultural orientation training to refugees approved for resettlement to the United States. Trainings take place in urban and camp locations throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, often under difficult work conditions. This position works closely with CWS/RSC partners. The Cultural Orientation Field Team Leader works closely with the Cultural Orientation Coordinator, the Cultural Orientation Curriculum Development Specialist and the South African Site Manager.
Supervision
This position reports directly to the Site Manager with oversight from the Nairobi based Cultural Orientation Coordinator.
Essential Duties of the Field Team Leader
Serves as Field Team Leader (FTL) on CO circuit rides; Assists with the logistical planning and coordination of circuit rides and manages logistics in the field; ensures that standard operating procedures are being followed and consults with the Site Manager and CO Coordinator regarding matters of concern;
Prepares for CO circuit rides by reviewing information about the location and participants to be trained, developing lesson plans specific to those participants, coordinating and assisting with the gathering and packing of necessary training materials, the hiring of interpreters and child minders, and the printing of class lists and name tags;
Finalizes CO class lists for assigned circuit rides and schedules circuit rides in Worldwide Refugee Admissions Program System (WRAPS);
Maintains effective relations with UNHCR, IOM, and other implementing partners in accordance with established policies and guidelines as a representative of the RSC and CWS/IRP;
Serves as the point of contact on security matters for the CO team while in the field; Conducts cultural orientation in urban and camp locations throughout Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on
southern Africa. Manages the supervising and paying of interpreters;
Ensures technology and equipment used on circuit rides is well-managed and utilized;
Maintains current knowledge of the US Refugee Admissions Program and refugee resettlement;
Updates WRAPS to reflect participation in CO;
Writes and submits a trip report upon the circuit ride’s return within deadline;
Schedules and facilitates circuit ride briefings and debriefings;
Works on projects related to CO curriculum development, training materials development and other aspects of the CO division as assigned;
Performs other duties which may be assigned by the Site Manager, CO Coordinator or CO Curriculum
Development Specialist to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of the CO division.
Qualifications for the Field Team Leader Job
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, or four years of related work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Six months experience in education or training required.
Two years’ work experience in any or a combination of the following is preferred: training; field work carrying out program activities and/or experience liaising with agency partners and/or vendors; or logistical experience organizing field missions.
Relevant experience in the United States preferred. Experience working with refugees preferred.
Knowledge / Skills
Ability to speak Somali, Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya or French preferred;

Deputy Regional Director
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy Programme Development
Collaborate with RD to develop regional strategy and related processes, context analysis and Stratigic Programme Document and identify key regional strategic initiatives. Ensure DRC country programmes are guided by a consistent, updated regional strategic framework that promotes a right based approach to the displacement challenges in the region.
Policy coordination
Play a key role in promoting DRC as a main actor within protection and migration issues in the region, through coordination of DRC activities and interaction with key players such as UNHCR, IOM, relevant NGOs, and government counterparts.
Donor, grant and relationship management
Working with RD, CDs and others to ensure high quality donor and stakeholder relationships and compliance.

Personal specifications
Master’s degree in International Development or related field
Proven ability with respect to the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of large scale country and/or regional programmes, preferably with a focus on protection and durable solutions for refugees and displaced people.
A minimum of 7-10 years of management experience at senior level, preferably in complex humanitarian environments.
Demonstrated success in fund raising, networking, advocacy and coordination highly desirable
Demonstrated success and experience with donor liaison
Strong analytical skills
Experience with humanitarian accountability
Fluency in written and spoken English
Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability
Work related experience from the Horn of Africa region or similar complex displacement situations.
Experience working in insecure environments and willingness to travel within the region

ConditionsContract: Two year contract with possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance.
