    Overall purpose of the job:
    The Recruitment and Administrative support internship role will serve as part of the central recruitment team to provide professional support and administrative functions to the recruitment team; acting as a reliable source of information and data, processing all recruitment related administration tasks within agreed timescales while providing excellent customer service to the prospective recruitment candidates at all times.
    Hours Of work
    40 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 7pm-3am (Please note that you will be working night shifts at the office-the hours are subject to change as per USA daylight saving time)
    Responsibilities

    Support the recruitment team in the submission and recruitment process
    Assist in all administrative tasks and duties pertaining to the recruitment process e.g. writing Job Descriptions, Job Postings.
    Attend to and carry all other tasks as instructed by your supervisor and the company Director/s.
    Assist and not limited to all office and personal matters for the company director that help ensure smooth running of the business.
    Build and maintain talent pool data base of CVs from various sources that are to be shared with the recruiters.
    Assist on all candidate job portal database automation activities.
    Identify or propose new and better ways of working within one’s job scope.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Be computer savvy and have Microsoft Office experience(Word and excel)
    Be able to work under pressure.
    Have a keen eye for detail.
    Social media presence.
    Is organized and able to think on her/his feet.

    Already has or is keen to build communication and social skills and is flexible to work within a multi-cultural team environment.

    Experience and Knowledge

    At least one (1) years’ work experience in Graphics Design.
    Proficiency in the latest graphic design tools.
    Photography skills will be an added advantage.

    Project background
    SNV is a member of the €160 million Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) (www.thedfcd.com), a Netherlands based consortium (led by FMO, Dutch development bank ), whose objectives are to (i) provide finance and Technical Assistance (TA) to projects with a focus on climate change adaptation; (ii) mobilize external private sector funding at scale; and (iii) align directly with DFCD Theory of Change (ToC).
    The DFCD allows for investments in projects aimed at climate change adaptation and mitigation in developing countries. SNV, as part of the DFCD Origination Facility, will identify and develop, together with local companies and stakeholders, bankable business case propositions which can subsequently be picked up by the DFCD Investment Facilities (Water and Land-use) for further development, match-making and investment. The DFCD presents an important additional instrument for the Dutch government’s efforts in contributing to the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
    Job Description
    The DFCD programme in Kenya wishes to announce an internship vacancy in the unit. The opportunity envisages that the intern will  gain experience on project appraisal, financial analysis of grant, debt and equity applications, project administration and grant management.
    Tasks Descriptions

    Receive and review applications / Intake Forms and related financial information from private sector companies for consistency, completeness and accuracy of documentation;
    Peruse and assess applicant’s application / Intake Form and financial information to ascertain eligibility for DFCD support in line with the DFCD’s criteria;
    Analyse the applicant’s investment proposal, thesis, origination activities; environmental and social impacts of the project; how it fosters climate change adaptation, resilience and sustainability;
    In line with the Intake Form assessment, undertake financial analysis of the application, covering Origination Facility grant financing and technical assistance request, envisaged investment implementation post-OF graduation;
    Make recommendations to the Regional Investment Officer, sub-Saharan Africa regarding the eligibility and acceptability of the application for further processing and presentation to the OF Investment Committee;
    Assist in compiling and updating DFCD sub-Saharan Africa’s Business Development pipeline
    Perform any other duty assigned by the Regional Investment Officer, sub-Saharan Africa

    Qualifications

    At least a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/commerce
    Professional course certificate such as CPA, ACCA, will be an added advantage
    Computer literate
    Proficiency in English and Kiswahili; written and oral;
    Intermediate /advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel).

    Contract Duration:4 months

    Why we are hiring for this role
    This is a support role which will report to the Student Support and Experience Associate. Your role will focus on ensuring seamless and efficient inventory management of the company’s assets within the access program which include furniture, equipment and laptops.
    Responsibilities

    Running and analysing inventories of all assets: furniture, equipment and laptops.
    Do monthly inventory for all assets and provide a report on this.
    Issue out, replace and collect laptops from students, alumni and staff members.
    Liaise with the Access team to obtain incident report & diagnosis before updating records of faulty laptops and forwarding them for repair/ maintenance by the service provider.
    Follow up with relevant stakeholders for approvals on repairs.
    Ensure laptop repairs are done by the relevant company and delivered back on a monthly basis.
    Confirm all laptops taken out for repair are returned and in good condition.
    Coordinate all deliveries and ensure proper record keeping of the same.
    Ensure all Assets are Insured.
    Ensure all students and alumni (where applicable) have access to working laptops.
    Ensure all assets are accounted for at all times using asset management systems and tracking technologies.
